I think this is the disconnect. I agree he played his best game ever. It was not a good game. A good game for him, sure. But a good game? I don't think so.

Did he win?

So only players on the winning team can play well? Burrow played outstanding. Trask played well. I don't understand the problem.

Dude, considering how hostile that environment was and Trask's lack of experience, he was beyond fricking superb.

Now if we'd have blitzed more in Q1 and Q2, he'd have never had the success he did. But with time in the pocket, he was poised and accurate. My hat's off to the guy because I couldn't believe how strong he played regardless of the reason for said play.

Trask has touch and benefited from luck. Two of his TD throws were highlight catches and several others should have been picked. Mullen called a good game and our limited pass rush resulted in a better than expected performance. Relative to the expectation for a first ever road start is the key. Burrow is on a different planet by comparison.

It’s Sunday ease up on the Jell-O shots. Fromm’s stat line must be what you meant to talk about.

What does Fromm have to do with this?

I agree with you.

What do I know, I also got shite on in the off season when I said Burrow would throw for over 3500 and 30 TDs this season.

So we can’t give opposing players credit now. Alright Dan Mullen.

Exactly. It was a hard fought game on both sides. No problem showing those kids respect after that game.

Ok he’s bad. What does that say about or defense when a “serviceable” making his first real road start throws for 310 and 3 TDs?

But all this talk about him being a good QB is making me feel like I'm taking crazy pills.

We would have taken a performance like that in a heartbeat if we didn't have Joe Burrow. It was his first road start and the dude dropped 300+ yards and 3 TDs on us. My eyes were not lying. He was throwing some beautiful passes (even in tight coverage at times). He may not always play that well, but considering the environment, he played a damn good game.

He was an adequate QB for what Mullen was attempting. He was not very good

This is just an idiotic take.

He made a number of clutch throws on 3rd down

Kind of contradict yourself in the very next sentence.

I guess you’d say this about Coach O too because he dropped UF’s #84 props in three separate post-game interviews.

This take is drunk & juvenile. I’d bet you’re fun to talk politics with.

Trask played way better than I ever thought he could. Also Mullen had a good plan against our D. If you would have told me we scored 21 in the first half then I would have told you we won by 4 scores. That’s just my opinion but in no way did I think this guy would have come in and thrown for 300 yards. Our defense must get better and Aranda has got to start finding an identity!

And that's coming from a guy who barely played HS football along the way. He's a baller, stop shooting him down. He played pretty good considering the circumstances.
