clearly we disagree. To me, as an elite program, our goal should be to complete for SEC championships.
10-3 (including a bowl win) is good, but not good enough, for a team with our recruiting, facilities, and support.
10-3 (with a bowl win) means we lost 3 games to the 5 better teams on our schedule.
If we were a different program, I'd be giddy with a 10-3 record. But we're LSU, and I think our expectations should be higher.
** One big caveat - if 10-2 wins the West, I'll take it. But it usually doesn't.

Yeah, if only the SEC had remained as weak as it was with Saban was winning the West with three conferences losses! Makes what Les has done here even more amazing.

With a junior quarterback two veteran receivers, LF and a B- offensive line we should compete for a title. If not it's a disappointment flat out!!

Maybe even playoff or bust.
To put it simply we are loaded this year probably the best talent we have had since 2011. If miles can't put together a playoff contending team this year he has to go.

If Bama goes undefeated and LSU is 11-1 the Tigers are NOT in the playoff.
Sucks I know but the remember after 2011. The big playoff push was specifically designed to keep the SEC from having 2 teams in the national championship game.
The only non conference winner that has a remote shot at the playoff is Notee Dame because that have no conference.
There will NEVER be 2 SEC teams in the playoff no matter how much we talk about here. And no matter how good the best non SECCG winner is.
