What year was if we rushed the field like 3x? And what games were they?

That was funny seemed like everyone we beat we took off for the field! Even though we weren't a great team it was so much fun being an underdog and winning in tiger stadium. I'm sure it will cycle around and we will be storming fields again one day

^ Those three.

Both goal posts came down vs. Tennessee but only the north ones came down vs. Alabama after the cops greased them up before the game.

I was at the Miss. St. game. LSU fell behind and made a strong comeback to win. I first learned the name Fred Smoot that night.

After the game some gracious LSU fans tried to give one of the uprights to the Tennessee section where some random fans and the band still remained.

Surprisingly, they did not accept.

I'm pretty embarrassed now thinking back to know we tore goalposts down for a win against Mississippi fricking State.

I don't know if they actually came down after the State win.

Ill revise...That we rushed the field after any Mississippi State win...does it really matter?

My dad got me sideline passes for the Mississippi State game. One of the best experiences I had as a kid. Was actually sitting on the bench during the game

At least MSU was good that year. We tore down the goal post against a 3-8 Bama team that year. I know it was 30 years since be beat them at home but still.... That UT game was amazing that year. Compare that game with how the crowd was in 2010 and you see how the programs changed so much ten years.

Not very many people rushed the field after state. Not like they did tennessee. Most people realized a win vs state was not that significant
