sounds like a crazy marine with PTSD ---- isnt there like numerous marines in jail right now for going off on people after getting back from tours in iraq
quote:That doesn't make any sense.
guess you have to win the fight to be considered mentally unstable

Exactly.
I would sure hate to be one of the Shady4. I would be looking to move out of state quick.

i'm not defending either of the jj's, but lowery is a marine. it's not like he was a some skinny nerd that got picked on.
I definitely see your point dude and I agree to an extent, but if it was 1v1 or something even close to fair then it'd be different, but it was nowhere near fair, it was a jumping

Why is everybody acting like that part didn't happen?
Convenience. Can't let facts get in the way of a good story.

No, if you get beatdown in a barfight by ANYONE, you act like a man and take your lumps and move along. You dont go run and cry to the police if your a real man.

Yes, to a state with fewer people apt to be so inconsistent as to:
1. say that bar fights are no big deal
2. hate a kid for starting a bar fight (which are, remember, no big deal)
3. side with the kids who turned an everyday bar fight into a beatdown complete with broken vertebrae, kicks to the head, etc.
This incident is depressing in a lot of ways, not the least of which is the extent to which it has shown our fanbase to be irrational about LSU, even when it involves something serious off of the football field.

Maybe so, but I'm not so stupid as to pick a fight with what was described below...

LOL, yeah..its real fricking hard when you outnumber them tremendously, and on top of that you have massive size and strength advantages

This exactly. If your man enough to run off at the mouth and fight with the big boys then be man enough not to go crying to the authorities when your arse is handed to you.

I have worked in clubs all across the Gulf Coast and this type if shite happens all the time and I cant rememeber an instance where people ran to the cops and made such a big deal over it, and they had more severe injuries! This is a joke!
If that were my son, I would kick his arse for being such a puss after getting his arse kicked.

I'm going to have to side with the players on this. I remember some years ago me and my buddies from got into a fight outside a Taco Bell with a group from another highschool. Well after a few words one of the kids from the other group breaks a bottle and jams in into one of my friend's face. Well through all that he grabbed a hold of that boy and near beat him to death. I don't know exactly how bad, but bad enough to get him a few days in a hospital bed. After we got out of there my friend went to the ER for some serious cuts to his face. Had it been half an inch over he would be blind in one eye. Well because he "won" the fight and gave that kid a beating he deserved he was charged with the exact same thing JJ is now facing? How is that fair? Because you "win" or "lose" has everything to do with the outcome. Is that the point of a fight? I wasn't there so I don't know what happened in that case but I do know the one who wins the fight is always punished and the one who loses is the victim, no matter who starts it.
