What would be your profile for LSU President?

Let’s pray politicians feel enough pressure to get a new President and AD to make next decisions. With the financial mismanagement, I’d bring in non academic as interim. Lipsey has an article on how Mitch Daniels turned Purdue around on his Facebook. LINK Maybe a respected CEO? Who would you suggest?

How about someone with a good track record leading a research institution and the ability to use athletics as a vehicle to recruit the best/brightest students.

That’s just for starters. But LSU says “hold my beer” and gets failed/inexperienced people to learn on the job. Clown show.

Scott Woodward would be my first call. Don’t know if he would leave A&M but it’s worth the try. He’s an LSU alum and a great AD

Shaq. He has his doctorate, he knows athletics, he's a household name, and he could kick start the endowment singlehanded.

This. I’d also like my President to take a more hands-off approach to athletics. Hire a competent and proven AD who you trust, make sure his values and goals are in line with the best interests of LSU, and give him the support/backing to be successful.

Ultimately the University President always has final say but I get the sense at this point that every move our athletic department makes is acutely micro-managed. I’d like to see less of that. Within the last 4 years it feels like KA is the AD and Alleva is just there to take the backlash.

Also this, keep that shite the frick out of our administration. The administration is not in place for “justice,” it’s there to run a University. I am so sick and tired of them caving to please a very small % of people (who will find something to bitch about regardless of outcome) just to not become the focus of a negative news story.

That should be the first call regardless of likelihood. You call and ask what it would take.

Screw the 1/3 Academic. That's 75% of Alexander's problem. The faculty has him by the balls.

Trade that Academic 1/3 for a 1/3 Corporate Executive

Anyone that realizes sports can be a catalyst for success in academics. There is no reason for sports to be at odds with academia at a university like LSU. Let them work together as marketing for the school.

If you build it, they will come.

Someone who would make LSU an excellent academic university with high , tough standards to enter. We don’t need 30,000 students in which 20% don’t belong. Stream it to 18,000- 20,000 of only the brightest.

It would be nice if either the President or the Athletic Director had a connection to LSU.

John Bel Edwards. As moderate as one can be in our political state. A fan of the program, common sense
