What will the Win Loss record be for the 2015 LSU Football Season?
Posted by tig3r

My guess: Regular Season 8 wins - 5 losses. A worse season than last year. Reason: Lack of a true team leader and poor quarterback play.
No team leader?
That's the last of my worries
Dural
Diarse
dupre
Lf7
Hawkins
Alexander
Beckwith
White
Mills
Adams
Godchaux
Lactoure
Thomas
It's about the passing game and the transition to Steele, imo
9-3

KYS
We have plenty of leaders on this team on both sides of the ball. Yes QB position worries the hell out of me but all im asking is for Jennings/Harris to just be average or Slightly above and I say we go at worst 10-2.

Decent QB play 10-2, great QB play, undefeated.
It's pretty lazy and stupid for somebody to predict 8-5. I have yet to see Miles have consecutive bad years in QB play, so why now when we have the best WR corps we've had since 2006, the best RB corps since 2011, a real QB coach, and a stacked OL?
Our schedule sets up for at worse, going 7-1 to start off the season. IMO, we start 8-0, then we split the last four.

I guess it depends on your definition of bad. What are we talking here, less than 200 yards/game? Less than 20 passing TDs in a season? Less than 60% completions?
Here's the cumulative passing stats (all QBs in a season) over the past few years:
2008 - 53% completions, 21 TDs, 18 INTs, 201 yards/game
2009 - 59% completions, 19 TDs, 8 INTs, 181 yards/game
2010 - 58% completions, 10 TDs, 11 INTs, 156 yards/game
2011 - 62% completions, 21 TDs, 5 INTs, 153 yards/game
2012 - 58% completions, 12 TDs, 7 INTs, 200 yards/game
2013 - 65% completions, 23 TDs, 9 INTs, 251 yards/game
2014 - 50% completions, 17 TDs, 9 INTs, 163 yards/game
Other than 2013, I think you can make an argument that we had bad QB play every single year, or at the very least inconsistent QB play. Even years like 2011 that look okay statistically at a glance are misleading, because we all know how inept our passing game was when we faced stiff competition.

I don't think you know what bad QB play is. Bad QB play was the shite show in 2008, 2010, and 2014. Below average QB play in 2012. Average QB play in 2005, 2009, and 2011. Great QB play in 2006, 2007, and 2013.
Also, why did you leave off 2005, 2006, and 2007? Oh, wait a minute, you're THAT type of guy.

When someone asks a question about the upcoming season, stick to our 12 scheduled games. Don't predict a bowl game, or an SEC Championship game, or playoff games because we have no idea if those will occur and who we'd play.
I see 4 guaranteed wins and 8 closer ones (@Miss St, Auburn, @South Carolina, Florida, @Alabama, Arky, @Ole Miss, A&M)
Unless we get miraculous QB improvement, I see 3 losses, maybe 4.
