Really! What would it take to get all you negative people to stop yelling for Miles's head? If he goes 10-2 next year? Or is beating 'Bama and winning the NC the only acceptable performance of an LSU head coach? (Good luck finding anyone in the world that can give you that year after year. (And firing someone after only a couple of mediocre years can't make it a very attractive post.)) Though, I doubt that would even stop it because I know a couple of guys that have been posting "fire Les Miles" since even before his NC.

I'm not saying that he's the greatest thing ever. I'm not ready to name a stadium after the guy, but damn, I am very ready for the hate to stop! It is detracting from a good team, with some great players and some great accomplishments.

-Maybe I'm just old enough to actually remember the bad years and know what real bad times are. Maybe being a baseball fan first has taught me to be patient, reasonable, and how to weather the storm of a few bad years. Or maybe I'm just an Idiot; I'm sure the fine people of the rant will be more than happy to let me know.

Do you really think he's capable of coaching the team to 11-2?

Explain how a football team can be ranked #2 in the country and look like shite in three games back to back.

The team looked inspired last night only to give Miles a good send off.

Why cant he get them to play like that (actually better) every game.

Kids respond to hope and LEs didn't give them that in those THREE GAMES.

After last night I feel with the give him 1 more year crowd. And as it should be to "be fair" he has definitely earned one more year here. But thats it IMO, next years schedule is set up, we get Bama/Ole Miss at home, Fournettes last year etc... Beat Bama Beat Ole Miss and win the SEC West for starters. Play for the SEC Championship and save your job another year. Win the SEC CG/NCG and you save your job through the rest of your contract.

How about he meet his own goal: compete for championships? We are paying top dollar for 4th in the west and a shite bowl. And that's what we're scared to give up?

To answer the question : we win the west next year or he is gone.

who was responsible for getting them ranked #2? I agree the last 4 games have been a shite show, and Les is responsible for it. But don't forget nobody expected this team to be 7-0 or lose less than 3 games. Can't have it both ways.

Florida and Miss St were games LSU were lucky to win.

Auburn was crap at the time. The way they played Alabama , I don't know if Les could get a victory again

Not getting skull drug by ark and ole miss would be nice. If you are happy with miles then you have to accept that we'll never beat bama which means no more SEC title much less a playoff berth. If that's ok, cool. Just realize that's what we've now signed up for.

We were ranked No2 by media. They were sold on LF's performances, especially against Auburn early on, who were expected to be much, much better.

They were a year early. We needed depth on D. We needed more improvement at QB.

Florida was the only good team we played, and they've look awful in their last few games. What if MS makes that field goal? Most misleading 7-0 record. Makes me mad just thinking about it because November proved we were always an average team who got lucky enough to have to play Treon Harris. LSU is an average football team and I seriously worry about the next few seasons.

The media. It's clear as day we aren't even top 10, so they're number 2 ranking was misleading.

You don't know anything a-hole. If several of us on here predicted 10-2 or 11-1, we damn sure expected to start 7-0. Auburn was overrated all offseason and everybody but a select few, were too stupid to see. Everybody knew Miss St wasn't going to be as good as last year. Everybody knew South Carolina and Florida were in a rebuilding year. Everybody knew that all of our OOC games were crap.

The only people that didn't think we'd be 8-0 (before the cancelled game) were morons. I never expected us to jump to top two, but at 8-0, we should have been somewhere in the top 10. We did exactly what Auburn did last year. Feast on the cupcakes and bad teams early, then shite the bed in November.

At worst case I expected us to split November losing to Ole Miss and Bama on the road and you can check my offseason posts if you want.

This shite again. We all remember it! I guarantee the majority of this board is in their 30's. We were all there too and currently we're inching closer and closer to that. It's not so much where we are, it's where we're headed.

You want us to play all our games like THAT????

Last night we looked absolutely horrific in our passing game. Against a terrible defense.

LF ran well, but 327 total yards is abysmal against a bad A&M defense.

Therein lies a major problem: we have 'Bama in our division. So, asking a coach to consistently win our division means consistently beating 'Bama - there are a dozen other teams in the SEC that are also struggling to accomplish that.

I agree that the way we lost to Ark and Ole Miss were, to be frank, embarrassing. But did anyone at the beginning of the season truly expect us to handle every team and win the SEC? If so, then it is probably time to learn to manage expectations.

As to the coach: There hasn't been a game that I haven't been angry with him for something that he's done. But, what are our other options? As I've mentioned before, every team is trying to consistently handle 'Bama, and not one is doing it so I don't see the justification of hiring someone else who isn't getting the job done and thinking that bringing them here will magically change that. Can Les improve? Hell yes. And I'm of the opinion that he needs to do it soon, but I don't believe that he's warranted the hate that he's received. Just my opinion.

Everyone keeps saying this. Why???

What has Les done over the past few years, and certainly this year in November, to "deserve" to keep his job? I'm just not getting it. We've woefully underperformed, especially against the better teams on our schedule. We're not even competitive with them anymore.

Why does a coach "deserve" more time when he's had plenty? Because he's a nice guy?
