Miles = eats grass.

So......... if it weren't for Saban LSU would not be where it is as far as a major force in college football.... there is NO WAY Miles comes in and does what Saban did.....

LSU has won two national title and this squad averaged a #5 recruiting rating.
Les took over after 1 national title and a team that averaged the #9 class. Les also had to recruit LA after the hurricanes. Talent in LA was down for the first 5 years of Les.
If coach o doesn't win the sec west this season, he'll already be playing catch up to Les.

You know this how? Even after Saban's players were all gone, Miles was more successful than Saban at LSU. Some of y'all have a hard time differentiating the Saban at LSU and the Saban at Bama.

Saban did great things here, but without Mark Emmert there never would have been a Saban and Miles never would have had his successful run.
Emmert is the one that truly got the ball rolling and committed to excellence. He spent money to make money and it was a big change from the way the athletic department had been doing business in the 90's. A lot of people thought he was crazy for paying Saban 7 figures when only 2-3 other coaches were making over a million, and all of those were established with NCs.

None of those guys came here because they wanted to play for Less Miles. They came here because of LSU, i.e., the LSU brand and the flagship university of Louisiana. They also wanted to play in Tiger Stadium, the greatest college football stadium in the country.

Saban achieved as many titles in 5 years including a rebuild over what Miles did in over 11 years at LSU.
Miles is not the greatest LSU coach by any stretch.

Easy Miles is no where near GOAT. Saban is the reason for his championship with 2 losses. The man will forever be the most overrated garbage head coach in history. He comes before Saban and he is fired in 3 years. He is Larry Coker
