If we can win a NC with talent alone then what is all this concern over the coach about.

Honestly, he would have to win the SEC West and beat Bama doing it.

So why did Saban get a pass and win the LSU faithful over after those clusterfricks? Marked improvement in 2001 (SEC Champs, Sugar Bowl win) and 2003 (SEC Champs, Sugar Bowl win, National Title).

Are you serious? the 2000 team was full of dinardo's players and improved down the stretch -- like the next freaking game where they beat the Vols in OT. everyone could see the 2002 team was turning into a monster and was set to make some serious noise until mauck broke his foot late at florida and djames was booted from the team. and we all could see that 2002 w/ randall at the helm was the anomaly, and that w/ a healthy mauck things were going to be better 2003.

tell me exactly what makes you think things will improve next year. last year it was "oh, we just need to get a DC." this year it's "oh, now we need a new OC." what will the excuse be in 2010?

IF, IF, IF he can get the offense righted next season, & we improve next year & really make a run for (at least) the SEC championship, we may survive this. Unfortunately, after the debacle last night I have little hope of that happening. AND even IF all of the above manages to happen, I'm still not sure he gets my vote back. Total breakdown in the performance of his job - period. I just don't know how he can overcome last night.

I know I'm still upset about the game & finishing strong will make things better, but its hard right now not to think that we are now (at best) the 3rd best team in the SEC behind Nutt! Pathetic.

Les has lost his fan base, & after Sat. night, I wonder if he has lost his team. There were lots of questions before last night, but that was the clincher. I hate to join the negaTigers, but I now have to agree- we do not appear to be a Top 5 team anymore, dispite the talent, & it is starting to look like we will never return to the Top 10 either with Miles. Next year will tell us everything- but does anyone really believe we can beat Bama or Florida again w/ Miles??

I have been a Miles supporter too...giving him the benefit of the doubt. Last night he proved he is a flaming idiot. My five year old daughter can coach better than that.

I cannot be won back...he needs to go!

honestly a NC would make me love him again an SEC title would make me like him again and SEC west would make me not hate him anymore...

Les Miles has built a great coaching staff that has produced the stongest LSU football program in history.

It's only a matter of time, and time is definelty on Miles, side.

Immediately: a well-prepared team against Arkansas resulting in a win.

Next: bowl win
And next: another great recruiting class
After that (in no particular order): win some championships, dominate Nick Saban, show some excellence.

Hopefully nothing as they should not be rooting for Les but for LSU to succeed. Guy has been loyal to program but he needs results and not the kind that happened last week.

Next year will be big with the amount of talent LSU is set to lose along with schedule getting harder. Being in every game and finishing with 9/10 wins will be a start. The following year if he is not in SEC Championship game or at least contending for it then it would be time to go.

I hate to say it, but he can't win me back. Even if we win the National Championship next year, I won't believe that it was due to his coaching. The mistakes, lack of discipline, and poorly run organization that has become LSU football is obvious for the world to see. Sure, we win some games on talent and heart alone, and I give Miles credit for recruiting, being a good person, and caring about his players. But, he is clearly in over his head and it is really sad to see. I like Miles personally, but what happened last night is unforgivable.

Nothing. Last night was absolutely inexcusable. He made an embarassment of the state of Louisiana, of its people and of our program. Nice guy and wish the best for he and his family. I will always pull for my Tigers but like the others have stated, if we win, it will be in spite of Less Miles.

if he resigns tomorrow he'll win me back. Admitting he is unfit for hc duties would be the best thing he could do for everyone.
