Well, to be fair, you cant say Scott won the game when he made that 1 play and was pretty silent the rest of the game and not say JJ helped win the game with those big throws and the big run he made at the end.

the way i see it, JJ had us in that hole to begin with, so i guess it evens out

absolutely he could be better. but he has the most room for improvement out of any qb in the sec and hes already in the top half of sec qb's.

he could start by not playing like dog crap. he's definitely got talent. But, he was sacked about 5 times that were his fault. Add to that 3-5 other plays where he wasn't sacked because he made it back to the line of scrimmage or got a half yard. Then, add to that the interception in the endzone. Then, add to that a QB sneak where he takes the snap and decides to run behind the only offensive lineman on our team that couldn't get any push. Then, add to that our awesome -14 yards of offense we had for the first 23 minutes of the 2nd half. I think that's all for now.

This is the reason he is starting. Last year, instead of taking those sacks, Lee was forcing the ball and giving up pick 6 after pick 6. Jordan has talent, he's young, he's learning, and he isn't making many mistakes. While all of you are crying after our wins, he is getting better. He will be the reason we will win many games in the future.

Lester Earl be fair.

No the coaches dont want him to take a sack BUT ALL COACHES in the universe tell their qb's, especially young ones, that its ALWAYS better to take the sack than to throw a "rushed" or ill-advised throw. There is a reason a qb holds the ball too long. One of those reasons is that the coverage is great.

Why try to throw it into that? Thats what Lee did last year and look what it got us.

Ints = more opportunities for the other team. We dont want that.

He reminds me a lot of a former Auburn Quarterback from Taylorsville,MS. He is hitting the receivers at he end of the route on a lot of plays. He also locks in and doesn't see the field. Florida and Alabama play man coverage most of the time and will sit on a lot of these routes...book it. He did have about 5 passes dropped today that should have been caught. I think the guy will only get better with more reps.

and in Jefferson's case, he

a) cant make the read

and

b)he doesnt know how to step up in the pocket and keep his eyes downfield

dont tell me to be fair; I am being perfectly unbiased.

as a QB, you have a clock in your head...after 3 seconds or so, which he was getting, you need to either scramble, which he could do, or feel the rush and move away from it, which he has no clue how to do.

thing is, he doesnt "have" to take a sack. And he does. He just doesnt know any better i guess

Jefferson is a work in progress. I'll take his performance this year, over Jarrett Lee's last year, any day.

The offensive line is hot garbage. Our back-ups must be horrible, because I'm not sure how the starters keep their jobs.

Is this thread for real? LSU won despite JJ today. JJ had a great 26 yard run, will give him that.

He has a LONG way to go, no one should give up on JJ yet. He shows sparks of promise, but LSU offense is hindering this team. Defense is winning games. JJ had wide open receivers today and took sacks. Yes, he had time.

Sweet, how many did Lee give up last year in the UGA game? Thanks for validating my point

He does seem to hold on to the ball too long, but he is giving up minimal turnovers (remember Jarrett Lee). I'll take JJ and take my chances.

JJ has ZERO pocket presence. He has potential but todays win would have been a whole lot easier with better qb play.

He takes way too long to throw the football, and most of his sacks are 10-12 yrds because he takes a 10 step drop instead of 3-5.

I feel it is piss poor qb coaching.
But I really dont know what Im talking about.

You people are unreal. Its one, or the other. I support whoever is behind center. JJ, Lee, RS.

JJ played a poor game today, defense bailed him out. I have no problem admitting QB is a shortcoming at this point, and hope the staff will find a way to work around it.
