Tennessee is pretty confident they have the louder stadium after the Bama game with 125-126dbs reached…. Think Tiger Stadium tops it tomorrow night?

TS, at its loudest, has gotten to around 130 decibels. Those days are long gone and I doubt the stadium even fills for this Bama game.

LSU fans are soft now. Won’t be anything like Neyland was. If it rains the rain will be louder than the people because they don’t want to go and get wet.

On plane with long time season holders (whom I do not know but struck up conversation about game). They are not sure going because of rain.

Their right to their decision. But if I were king, their seats should have sensors that require minimum utilization per season, their azzes or someone else’s does not penalize them. Under utilized puts seats back on market.

That seat is not just a $ asset, butt the azz in it is part of the experience LSU is selling. These are not mutually exclusive things.

King out.

FWIW, the dB readings you hear about at stadiums are notoriously unreliable. Very rarely does anyone tell you where exactly the reading was taken, how it was weighted (dBA vs. dBC vs. dBZ) or whether the measurements were peak/time-averaged.

They might measure 125 dB somehow, somewhere in the stadium but it’s pretty unlikely that players on the field or the vast majority of fans in the stands are being exposed to anywhere near that.

At the same time, noise levels on the field don’t have to be nearly that high to cause communication problems for a team either.

Who cares about the reading, just make it loud as possible and make communications difficult
