I expect that LSU will be more balanced in playcalling than last year.

Last year was the most conservative year for passing since Miles has been at LSU. The staff was forced to start the backup QB; thus, the team focused on running the ball.

Miles has stated that the team will return to a more balanced attack in 2012. I'd expect to see at least 40-45% passing calls.

We threw about 22 times per game in 2011. I'd expect to see 25 to 30 passes per game in 2012.

Miles Passing Percentage at LSU
2011: 31% pass
2010: 36% pass
2009: 44% pass
2008: 44% pass
2007: 42% pass
2006: 45% pass
2005: 41% pass

Miles Passing Percentage at OSU
2004: 25% pass
2003: 40% pass
2002: 50% pass
2001: 49% pass

Do you not expect significantly more passing than this year?

Personel wise, we favor 2005 team.
I'd be surprised and somewhat disappointed if we don't throw for 3k this year.

I would expect this year's offense to be similar to the offense we ran in 2007. We have a lot of good receivers, but no 6'4 monster like we have had, so I expect the bubble screens and quick slants to come back to the game plan. I think they will still run about 60% of the time and use that to est. play action like we did this year. Mett seems to be able to go through his progression pretty well from the minimal times he's gotten playing time.

If Les Miles can possibly get JJ eligible for the 2012 season to play a more experience Jefferson at Quarterback of course.

If JJ had any eligibility, he would be playing over mettenberger.

Think about that.

Otherwise I don't know what poor Les will do. How in the world can he coach with out Jordan Jefferson.
Oh what in the world is LSU going to do without Jordan Jefferson. Don't pay any attentions to those other two or more guys trying to play quarterback. Where Jordan! LINK
