Rewatching the game a little lately for reasons. Just watched the last TD before the half, and with the defense on it's heels after going up 10, having 2 timeouts, and knowing LSU would get the ball to start the second half, not burning a timeout after Burrow's run was a colossal screw up by Dabo that really sealed their fate for the rest of the game.

That and Venables continuing to allow his DB's to go one on one with our receivers....take your pick.

Yay, spring football.

Exist the same year as the 2019 LSU Tigers

They couldn't double up everybody. They just had to hope Burrow guessed wrong, which he rarely did.

If we had gotten good field position early on, it would have been like the Oklahoma game.

I can’t think of many big mistakes. They were beat by a better team. The final score was about as close as they could have hoped.

Dropped pick 6 in the second half was huge. It scares me to think that could've been a close game if that DB just catches that pass and has no one in front of him.

I doubt LSU puts up 60, but you’re right the game would have been a 3 or 4 touchdown game.

Clemson played great. But there was a single team that was going to beat LSU that year if they played 100 times

Marshall dropped a sure TD too, tho and I’m pretty sure LSU wound up punting on that drive.

Captain Neckroll should have lead with his shoulder:

But there was no stopping us.

The only way to slow down our offense was to just mug the WRs and pray for no calls.

UGA outright said their strategy was to get their hands on our Wideouts.

It's not like he really had a choice. That was just a bad matchup for them. It was a bad matchup for everyone all year.

I’d go as far to say if that first pass to Marshall doesn’t get called back we score and never look back from there

Their biggest mistake was Skalski targeting and getting ejected.

They were still in the game when he was in. After he got ejected, they offered no resistance defensively and the offense went into shambles.

Skalski is an a-hole and deserved to be booted.

That said, I'd want him w/me in the alley, ready to kill or be killed...

It was Chase who dropped the TD, after which we missed a FG.

Clemson was a great football team that season, (and I hate Clempson) and they prolly would have won it all if 2019 LSU didn't exist. Noone was beating that team with the talent and the energy and the the cohesiveness, it just wasn't gonna happen.

Again, not Marshall. It was Moss. But, yeah, if that isn't called back, we're off and running towards an easy 60+. And besides all the other plays mentioned, we kneel inside the 10 at games end. Dream season realized!
