At this point I would rather the players coach themselves. Normally Paul has no problem sitting on his arse and doing nothing. This is the moment he feels the need to butt in

He froze Cruz on a 3-1 count and had a fricking mound meeting with him like he was a Damn pitcher. fricked the kids plate approach up and he watched 2 balls for strikes go right by him

It appeared Paul essentially told crews to take a pitch when he had one strike already. So crews only had one chance to swing at strike. Struck out

It’s been the CPM MO from the beginning of his career at LSU. When there’s no pressure he excels, when the stakes are what’s considered normal for LSU he’s erratic and when the situation is crucial he’s about as bad as it gets. People compare him to Les Miles a lot but he’s much more comparable to Dale Brown.

Paul is done after this season. You don't need to keep defending him.

Defending him against what exactly? You actually believe the coach told him not to swing at anything. There’s nothing to defend here. That’s a stupid take. It needs no defense.

lmao you guys will literally bitch about anything.

If crews does that without a "mound" visit you guys would have said what was paul thinking why didn't he go talk to crews.

I'm saying he didn't need to talk to Crews at all. Just completely unnecessary.

And I said he didn’t tell him not to swing the bat at all. Apparently that’s defending PM’s job or something.

Well at least paul had the right idea. If the ump calls ball 4 ,which it was, then the games tied now. He cant watch that last pitch though. I dont think he needs to tell Cruz that a walk would be big. I think he knows the situation.
So ,even though paul had the right idea,he still shouldnt go out and frick with him,imo that got in his head on the last strike

Are the players so fragile they can't handle a stop in play? Ump takes one to the nuts, foul ball review, mound visit by opposing team, talk to PM..........
