I know I have brought this up before but I am seriously concerned/baffled over this bone head decision by 0. I really do not see what a life time High school football coach from a mediocre school brings to the table other than the fact that he coached Orgerons son in high school. Can anyone else shed some light on this situation or his 0 just blatantly trying to get his buddies paid?

Alabama bringing on young, up and coming offensive/defensive gurus while Special Ed just putting all his boudin buddies on the LSU payroll (LeCompte, Sullivan, Jenkins). Its a disgrace.

I've been convinced by other posters that this is much ado about nothing ... this is a fairly low-level hire as far as I understand. Given the other pending hires, the optics are bad maybe. The perception of cronyism (not "nepotism" as someone correctly pointed out to me) is there, since Mr. LeCompte coached O's kids in the past, and there is some other connection apparently b/w he and O's brother. I mean, I assume the guy is smart and will be an asset to the football program.

I have no faith in Lyin’ Ed. Just bringing in friends and family.

Saban has multiple high school coaches on his shadow staff. Those of you bashing this are just looking for something to bitch about.

He's an analyst. Rarely does one ask what value any analyst provides.

I honestly don't know. Even if he does bring any value, it won't be significant enough to notice.

How many of them has Saban's family member represented in a major lawsuit against a school board? How many of them coached his kids in high school? It's not a particularly good look right now. This entire department has had a PR problem for years now.

He did compete with lesser talent and always had a great offense. He can’t hurt us. Dude coached the entire offense by himself and called every play. There is no doubt he will bring value to the offense in the form of gameplanning and tempo

O's cousin Corey Orgeron is Lecompte's attorney in that lawsuit.
