We return starters John Battle and Grant Delpit at safety with guys like Monroe, Stevens, Harris, and Lewis as backups. I noticed Paris was listed at 6’1 210lbs on last seasons roster. I think if he bulks up to 220lbs, he could be used at OLB on 3rd and long to give us some extra speed rushing the passer and also dropping into coverage if need be much like Thompson did last season. I really like Divinity at this position especially on 1st and 2nd down, but Paris would definitely give us more speed there and could give RT’s fits coming off the edge. I think it would be a good way to get him on the field in certain situations. I hate to see the guy get zero playing time in his senior year when he’s been a great Tiger while here.

I see him as a rover type player, basically when we need 5 DBs out there. Last yr before injury, he seemed to be all over the field.

My only guess is that he will be used similarly to Thompson last season.

We've waited for Paris to break out for what seems like a decade now.

Not a safety not a corner, he wont play much this year.

You don’t know dick.

We have 5 eligible cornerbacks

Greedy
Jontre
Kary
Kelvin
Paris

He is going to, 1000% for sure, get PT at corner.

I'm hoping that becomes Stevens' role.

He's 6'2 216. He's becoming more of an OLB vs safety and I heard they were trying him in that spot for the Notre Dame game last season.

He will definitely get reps at CB given our depth. Given his size I could seem him playing a lot of nickle CB like Dwayne Thomas in 2016.

I remember seeing Stevens get some reps at OLB against ND. He is another one that has a similar build and skill set like Thompson. Aranda definitely has a lot of pieces on defense that he can use to give opposing offenses fits. I’m ready to see this defense in action.
