What transfer QB is the most appealing to you?

I hope Nuss balls out in the bowl game and fall camp and is the no doubt starter but we have to also be practical and bring in at least an experienced backup from somewhere. Injuries happen you never know. We would be one injury away from Rickie Collins having to be the guy with 2 passes thrown in his career and Collin Hurley will still be 17 when he gets to campus. I think it would be a close tie between Grayson McCall or KJ Jefferson on my dream list but Riley Leonard or even someone like Ken Sears from Vandy could be a competent backup if you can’t land one of the top guys.

Mine would be Salter from Liberty, if he would enter. No way on Leonard and I don’t think Jefferson is accurate enough.

I like Grayson McCall from Coastal Carolina. He is a great runner and he’s a decent passer too but he’s going somewhere to be the no doubt starting QB since he’s a grad transfer with one year left.

Cameron Ward is the Wazzu kid. Michigan State had all 3 of their QBs leave as well. There will be options they just won’t be the top guys. Nuss deserves to start we just have to have depth. Maybe Rickie Collins looks good in the bowl practices since Jayden most likely won’t play then Collins would get #2 reps instead of the scout team.

I don’t think Nuss will be QB1 next season. Grindin Brian saw the magic that can be created with a running QB to bail us out of jams and will get one from the portal…..who will start next season.

Riley Leonard is one of the top QBs in the portal and you suggested him as a backup at LSU. Not even remotely realistic

I hope Nuss is the starter because he stayed when kid leave so quickly these days but they can’t put all their eggs in one basket and Denbrock no doubt prefers a runner at Qb.
