Held bama to 27. Punt return was 7 and the last Td by bama. LSu was already celebrating. Called a great game

But, that call at the end. Just holy frick

Im not saying that Aranda should be fired or that he has to go. I will say that he needs to step back and reinforce "wrapping up" when tackling. Stop trying to strip the ball, stop trying to deliver knock out blows without using your arms. Just wrap up and tackle.

Wait that’s not the players job? You sure about that? Aranda needs to get out there and start playing as well? Lol unreal
Aranda’s main job is to coach the players to know what to do and to scheme around deficiencies they have. He’s currently not doing either well.
If we would have lost the Bama game after that man to man bullshite on that long TD, he deserved to be sent packing. It’s become a problem since last year. Shades of UCF at the end of the half getting a deep bomb. Similarly the announcers were left asking “what the frick is Aranda doing playing man in this situation?”

1:36 to play in college football is easily enough time to score and recover an onside kick. Do you watch football at all? The clock stops for every first down, Bama had 2 timeouts and you’re gonna let those WRs have 20 yard holes to catch and run through? Lmfao my god dude get a clue, there was no bump and run that’s a myth. We were way back and crept up right before the snap to confuse but were in a bailout cover 1 with a robber and a safety over the top. No other DB let their man 1 step behind them because THATS THE FRICKING POINT!!!! Stingley blew the coverage plain and simple and if we were in cover 4 and hedve blown it the same result would’ve happened. Quit bitching we just proved that’s there isn’t any team we can’t beat even with sub par talent and position holes on this D. Aranda is a top coordinator and football people know this.

Tackling is horrible but we’re too thin everywhere to rest Delpit or sit Stingley or anyone else really when they mess up. Orgeron has to build depth on that side back up bigtime and he said as much yesterday.

Not played bump and run with the fastest WR core in America.
Instead you play soft and let them complete quick slants and run underneath all game long? How has that worked out?
Outside the last play, that’s how you do it. And guess what it mostly Worked!

Not matched up our weakest cover guys on a Biletnikoff winner (repeatedly) and probably the best WR and route runner in America.
Lol they had to cover someone and we don’t shadow people.
Smith, And Riggs both demand respect too.
So nice try your still an Internet commenter

We have the 33rd ranked total defense and the 36th ranked scoring defense so far this year.

Can we renegotiate Aranda’s contract to free up some money or do we just flush that for continuity’s sake. A DC who is man-to-man bump and running up 12 with a minute left is not head and shoulders above everyone else as his pay would suggest. I’d try to renegotiate his deal to add 2 years to it but bring him down to 2 mil/year.
This is just silly. You don't negotiate contracts downwards. LSU football brings in $86 million a year in revenue ($56 million profit) and you want to quibble about $500K? There is no need to "free up" money when there is no salary cap. If he is not living up to expectations, then you fire him.
So, he's good but not great, but you're OK with settling just so you can save a little money when it doesn't matter?
It also seems that most people are bitching because Aranda made one bad call. No one is perfect, and shite happens. You have to look at his overall body of work. The defense was great in the first half, but people want to focus on a single play at the end of the game. If his defense didn't hold Alabama to so few yards and points in the first half, then that last call wouldn't have even mattered.

That's hilarious "CoachW".
Tell me, which of our D-Line do you consider elite?
Aranda is making up for obvious weaknesses and we are winning.
