Has Hilton made a big catch for us?

For one thing: yes - the deep ball on the game winning drive against Wisconsin. If he doesn’t make that play we lose the game.

For another thing: is your point that any WR who wouldn’t have gotten starting reps for 2023 LSU can’t possibly be good enough to contribute to 2024 LSU? That’s the dumbest thing I’ve heard in my life.

To me. He is a poor mans Jarvis Landry

I’m legitimately convinced that you’ve never watched Hilton OR Landry play lmao. Truly: you would have a tough time picking a big-time LSU receiver that Hilton is LESS similar to

People in here keep saying “he’s just as fast as Hilton”

Really don’t understand Chris Hilton is a J’mar Chase type athlete.
Obviously hasn’t done shite on the field like J’mar but he’s a freak athlete with a great build.

By all accounts he’s takin a step up this off-season. Can’t wait for him to get on the field. Gotta assume they are being overly cautious right now with this run of games but hope he’s back before Ole Miss to get the rust off.

His injury is his lower leg and it’s more serious than they are leading on.

Yea kid might have potential but 13/225 isn’t eye popping.

Also his bowl game TD was impressive and he had a great catch and run vs ole Miss. the other 11 were pretty routine plays. Maybe we give the Grambling break away a nice rating but that’s vs swac team.

He has potential but he isn’t a stud yet and worse he is almost always injured so it doesn’t do us any good. He might as well be Trey Valentine

We can argue semantics of a big catch, since he has so few we can include a meaningless bowl game. Of course it’s not all his fault he hasn’t had the opportunity since he was behind to elite guys.

I just don’t know that we can crown him as a stud when he can’t stay healthy for a full game. Does have potential sure, but if he isn’t ever healthy it doesn’t do us much good.

Can he play DT?
Safety?
If not, his availability is not a huge deal.

If you cannot find another guy to stretch the field out of:

Slot
Aaron Anderson so
Kyle Parker fr
Landon Ibieta fr
——Jelani Watkins fr

X
Chris Hilton Jr. sr
CJ Daniels junior?
Shelton Sampson fr

Y
Kyren Lacy sr
Zavion Thomas junior?
——Kylan Billiot fr

Then you have a problem. If you relied on one guy who’s always been hurt, to do something you need to do, then this should have been addressed in the portal beyond what you already got from the portal.
