I've seen reports that indicate 3rd or 1st more likely than OF.
Depending on how his shoulder heals up, which is probably what led to him not being drafted yet, he could end up a 1B only guy.

Sorry, but we need more than a networking situation.

Yeah if he really starts to fill out he may outgrow just about everything but 1B. I really like his swing.

I would think so as well. The outfield is starting to look pretty crowded.
Watson, Cabrera, Digiacomo, Cabell, Webre and even possibly Dups.
There are going to be some hurt feelings out there next year.

Would Cabrera get a legitimate shot as a lefty pitcher to be a two-way player?

Dude Webre is not coming back

That ship has sailed imo. Cabrera’s future is in the field and we will (likely) be loaded on the mound. No need to risk arm injury for a non-need.

“Watson is definitely leaving”
“Hess is definitely leaving”
“Duplantis is definitely leaving”
“Slaughter is definitely leaving”
“Feduccia is definitely leaving”

You’ll see a transfer if we return everyone with eligibility in the outfield. That’s just common sense considering we aren’t going to carry 7 outfielders (you forgot Andrew Lee).
I’m interested to see what this bullpen and starting rotation is going to look like. Realistically, Hill and Marceaux could easily be weekend starters and you are still returning Hilliard, Walker, Labas, Hess and Storz. I’ll probably melt if Hess isn’t the closer again.

If any of the incoming outfielders are beasts defensively, I could see Cabrera DHing. I don’t know... it looks like we have a ton of depth!

Looks like Marceaux and Henry have tweeted their intention to be Tigers. Hill and Cabell are the only two left who are threats to sign from the class is my understanding. Project? That sound right?
As for current players, Everything is still up in the air for our underclassmen but it looks like Hess, Watson, and Dup are all returning. Sanders, Slaughter, and Feduccia still threats to leave if drafted. And many are in danger of being processed.

Not Project but that is correct on Hill and Cabell. The only other players I'm concerned about are Ripoll, Willis, and Garza.
I'm hoping Cabell sticks to his commitment he's going to be fantastic in 2-3 years.
Hess and Watson have major upside by returning now.
Duplantis is still in that gray area but he's 85 hits away from becoming LSU's record holder in hits and a chance to go to school with his brother for a year.
Sanders and Feduccia will take money, no idea about Slaughter I'd like to see him back.

I (for no real reason) feel good about Hill.
Cabell is still a threat.
After reading an article from the local paper around Fredricksburg, TX, I am still a little concerned about Riggs Threadgill.
Rye Gunter will make it to campus, IMO.
There is one signee that I've always questioned and I wonder now if he will be advised to go the JUCO route with some guys returning.

I put this in another thread, but it probably won't get seen much:
This wouldn't be a regular starting line up, for obvious reasons but if this line up were on the field:
C - Willis
1B - Garza
2B - Dugas
3B - Slaughter
SS - Smith
LF - Cabrera
CF - Watson
RF - Cabell
DH - Jordan
There is a home run threat at every position. Legitimate power everywhere.

I’m gonna stop you right there. Slaughter should not see the field. He should have splinters in his arse from riding the pine all season

Would be a remarkable lineup compared to this year. If Duplantis does come back Cabell could easily slide to LF or DH.
I think Dugas will start either at 2B or 3B as you said.

No, you aren't.

That line up can happen with Duplantis back. It just wouldn't happen often.
I no longer think Slaughter moves to the outfield. That wasn partly based on Duplantis and Watson being gone.
