still have you mesmerized? For me, it's 68. That's the combined number of TDs scored by CEH, JJ, JC, and TM. Think about that... 4 Tigers scored a combined 68 TDs in a season

3 WRs broke the single season receiving TD record

Beating the pre-season top four and destroying the top 10 all year. THEN beating 4,4,3 at the end of the year in the playoffs.

Burrow’s Passing and Total TD NCAA records against that schedule is fricking insanity.

Great point... and to think, the yds they each had!! And that's with Marshall w/671yds, I think, while missing game with surgery for a broke foot.

- Joe's stat line against #4 UGA, #4 OU, and #3 Clemson:
88/126 (70%)
1,425 yards
18 TDs
0 INT
98.1 QBR
- Scoring more points in Tuscaloosa than any team in the last 112 years
- 630 yards against Clemson's defense (allowed 264 ypg going in)
- Joe's 14 TDs in a CFP(doubled the previous record)
- 16 pass deflections by a true freshmen
- The SEC record for TD receptions was 18 - Chase had 20, Jets had 18

56 of the 61 passing TDs were caught by WRs.
There were years when we struggled to complete a hitch or out route to a WR on any down, any place on the field.

The defensive improvement when it mattered most(along with key players returning).
Posted on 3/4/20 at 8:11 pm to SouthernInsanity
75 red zone possessions
72 scores
2 kneel downs (victory formation)
1 failed score on 4th & 1
this team basically went 72/73 in the RZ

All the stats were mind blowing.
Things that stood out the most are:
Burrow winning the Heisman by the largest margin ever
Burrow throwing 60 (SIXTY) TDs
This one is weird, but sticks with me for some reason...Clemson (The IT team in CFB) was 81-0 under Swinney when leading by double digits. Of all of the nice things LSU broke last season, this is one my favorites.

Burrow throwing 60 TDs but only 125 incompletions.

51 TDs by the triumvirate of Jefferson, Chase and Marshall.
College football record and it's not even close.

LSU trailed in the second half for all of 3 minutes and 42 seconds. All season.
Posted on 3/4/20 at 9:25 pm to SouthernInsanity
LSU scored 726 points, an NCAA record.

LSU beat 7 top 10 teams.
No one in the modern era had ever won more than 4.

I bookmarked this thread. It’s going in the library. It will be one of the runs I read on a Friday night to my grandchildren during football season after I tuck them in.
Joe Burrow: Legend of College Football
I’m almost 50 years old and this season was just one of those moments you will never forget. You will remember with near total recall almost everything about it: where you were, who you were with, what you ate and drank, etc. Months worth of memories have permanently embedded themselves in the filing cabinet in our brains.
Certain sights will remind you of a moment from this season. A smell will bring back some emotion you had. The taste of a drink will bring back memories that roll through your mind in high definition.
The wave in Texas, the first down signaling in Alabama, the teary award speech in New York, the first half touch downs in Atlanta, the ring finger in the Superdome are just a small portion of the memorable moments from this season.
No Tiger fan from this year will forget it for the rest of their lives.
