What some Florida Gator fans think about the game

I just checked out a UF football message board about the game and I found some gems.
Think this will be like the ole Miss game awhile back, too lazy to look up the year. We will score early from turnovers and the game will get out of hand and we spank them.
Fl 41 LSU 17
After we beat LSU (and we will) we can lament not being top 5 (if we beat Kentucky). We will BEAT LSU....
So this is an easy position to defend... Danny Etling is a better passer than Joe Burrow. Etling completed 60% of his passes at LSU and Burrow is completing 52%; Burrow has a run threat but we have shown ability to contain the running QB. Another data point to back up the passing downgrade is Etling averaged 9.1 yards per attempt last year and Burrow is only getting 7.9 this year. Burrow is much more hype than a true upgrade. The run game for LSU lacks a back that strikes fear into defenses. So on par this offense is not what it was last year and that was on full display at Jordan Hare a few weeks ago. I know LSU won but it was their defense that kept them in the game and against a good defense their offense struggled for long periods of time.
LSU is the most overrated team in the country. The Vegas also thinks so, the line is only at 2 points for an undefeated top 5 team. Their SP+ index has them as the #17 team.
If you look at the stats LSU’s defense is not elite, they do not make many TFLs or have many pass breakups. Yet they somehow have a +8 on the turnover margin. That is the definition of turnover luck.
We will win because their coach has a giant head.o_O That's my story, and I'm sticking to it!
They're not world-beaters. Pretty even in the trenches based on both teams recent games. I like our chances at home!
And last but not least.. If we play mistake free football, I think we can actually blow them out at home. I’m not sold on Orgeron, he’s definitely a players coach but if they fall behind, I think the wheels will fall off the bus.

We really are screwed if a lawn chair falls over in the next day and the game will be postponed.

Ah yes, the index that had Ohio State at #1 and FAU at #10 at the end of 2017.
The index that currently has Appalachian State at #15 ahead of LSU, Miami, Texas A&M... and Florida ...
Seems pretty solid.

Says the team that has gotten a RIDICULOUS amount fumbles go their way.
That poster is way off base.

It's like they dont even watch football.

They watch it, they just don’t understand it.

That's what I was thinking
I can understand thinking they have a good chance to win, but some of these predictions are ridiculous.

Gator fans are famous for mouthing off after they've beaten a decent team. If they had lost to State, you wouldn't have been able to find them on a message board.

It’ll just make hitting them with a soul crushing loss at home that much sweeter!

It's obvious they haven't seen Burrow play. Similar to Etling in ways, yes, but I think Burrow is a more capable athelete.

Burrow is a lot more consistent than Etling. Etling missed a lot of open receivers on those medium routes. Burrows incompletions generally havent been because he missed his guy.

That's not really even up for debate at this point. Joe made at least 5 throws last week alone that Etling was not capable of making.
I love Danny. He was and is one hell of a Tiger. But on the run, from 35 yards out, throwing across his body Joe hit a WR in the numbers right at the sideline... That's elite.
