Agreed. From some of the Tennessee games I've watched that seems to be Dollander and Burns issue right now also. Not getting borderline calls and then throw it over the plate and get hit hard at times. Still getting plenty Ks though.

Part of the confusion on Ty Floyd is that I believe the strike zone has been significantly shrunk for SEC games.
Consistently I see the Game 2 and Game 3 pitchers for a lot of teams exit in the 3rd or 4th with 60-70 pitches.
It definitely has. Chris Burke brought it up recently in a game he was in the booth for. They are not giving the corners much at all.

No comment on Skenes because I didn't see him pitch last year but the guy is amazing.
Floyd and Edwards stick out. Pleasantly surprised by both.
Cooper, Collins, and Dutton have not improved IMO.
But remember, all of these are new arms to Wes. And it takes time to sort through the staff and find roles. So much baseball to be played yet.

Regardless, I’m fascinated by the thought process that goes into thinking that a pitching coach can just magically make any pitcher an ace.

You're fairly new here so I will give you the benefit of the doubt for thinking thought goes into much (if any) of the complaining on tRant.

Skenes and Edwards both improved a lot. Floyd has definitely gotten better.
