Seeing as Jamarr isnt super tall nor does he have 4.2 speed, why is it so hard for good DBs to cover him? What about him gives him an advantage over guys that may be more athletic than he is

Extremely strong for his size.

Great route runner.

Has a good feel for coverages.

More aggressive than defenses as he generally initiates contact with corners.

Physical, ungodly ball control and impeccable timing.

Jamarr has Keiland's calves as just part of his own calves.

He’s amazing at finding the ball. Contorting himself in the air. Grabbing it from defenders. Over defenders. He’s a freak

Josh Reed was similarly a tough matchup. Great route runner with an ability to get open and anticipate coverages....

Not blazing fast or super tall, but awesome regardless

I would say strength as number 1 and body control number 2. He is stronger than 95% of the guys he faces this allows him to beat their initial check whether it be at the line of scrimmage or during the route.Add in number 2 body control this allows him to adjust to where the ball is thrown.
Combine strength and body control and you have a guy that will dominate 1on1 match ups. If you watch chase against all the top corners he uses these two things to perfection. His speed was used on occasion but usually it the first two skills I mentioned.

Same reason Michael Thomas is dominating the NFL.

His ability to come off the line when pressed (strength), get open against man or zone, and he catches everything thrown to him. He is deceptively fast. He’ll be a top 10 pick, no doubt.

Body control combined with route running. He's rarely out of position.

Along with what everyone else has say he seems to be able to set up defenders to where the ball is in the air he can gain a little more separation right before the catch. He gains an extra gear when the ball is in the air.

Heard something about how he lifts his hands to catch the ball at the last second so DBs cant watch his hands to defend. He is fast, good size, overall strength and more. Importantly hand strength, and very smart.

I think his comp is prime Dez Bryant.

Not a blazer but definitely fast enough - probably a low 4.5 40 guy. But what makes him so tough is his physicality and his ball skills. He's great at going up and getting the ball over a DB. If it's 1 on 1, Chase is getting that ball.
