I'd rather get herpes than ever go back to Starkville. It's that bad.

Spent a month there one weekend.

It's a dump.

Most folks aren't really into cow-tipping.

Starkville is the kind of place that makes you never want to go back after visiting.

I would have to rank it at or near the bottom of SEC schools, but when you are in the best football conference in the USA the bottom is not all that bad. The SEC is in a class by itself. I went to Little Dooey's which was good.

I went several years ago when we opened up the season against Moo State on a Thursday night and Steltz had 3 picks.

I would never go back

I've been to every SEC stadium except Kentucky, Missouri, & Fayetteville (been to Little Rock)

Starkville is far away the worst trip, town sucks, middle of nowhere, etc...

I have attended a few football games and a few baseball games in Starkville and have always enjoyed the trip a lot...the fans are pretty welcoming and the campus is very nice as well...honestly, probably one of the nicer campuses I have seen in the SEC...and be prepared...seeing their mostrous jumbotron will make you get pissed off every time you look at ours back in tiger stadium...

as everyone says, starkville is a very small town in the middle of nowhere...but there is good food and a pretty fun bar district...

When LSU does not have a home game, I sometimes drive up to watch one of their games...kinda freaks people out to see me at their game with my LSU shite on when they aren't playing us...always get people asking me if I am "scouting" their team or some shite like that...

if you need travel info for Starkville, just let me know...I am there on business tonight...

were you going for the game or to sight see?
lsu hasn't lost there since 1999. why would people not want to go to a place where the odds of lsu playing well are favorable?

I've been to every sec stadium except Arkansas and Missouri and st is by far the worst. I was at that game in 99.....had a drunk a-hole who wanted to kick my arse because I told him how much I loved Jackie sherrill and hoped that he would stay at st for a long time so we could continue to kick his arse.

Going to Starkville is about the same as going to Lafayette for a ULL game. But the women are fatter and uglier.
The food is worse too. It's easy to find good bbq if you know where to look. Armpit of the earth. Guaranteed win though. Always great to win on the road.

If you go into it with the right attitude, you can have a good time on any SEC roadtrip.
