There is more to it than this. Miles tried to get too fancy. You have a beast RB that should have been getting the rock and Miles went away from that. I don't get it. A 24-13 lead going into the 4th and your main yard gainer does NOT have a carry?????

Our offense does not scheme to gain an advantage in numbers or leverage. Just bunch up and run straight ahead.

Too busy sitting on the bench or getting sub'd in and out every 2-3 runs.

vadal and turner had one or two good games and everyone creamed over them, then they hit a wall late.

the juco OT/OG will probably take the RT spot from vadal imo

This year LSU dominated Bama's run game and had the game in hand before Bama rallied using exclusively the forward pass. Were you accidentally watching games from the 1970's?

That's not true. Bama's RBs averaged 7.5 and 6.9 per carry against us with a TD each.

If anything, Lord Saban passed a little too much at times. That last drive is where they had all of their magical success passing.

Conference USA level linemen, a limited scheme and opponents who know the plays (there are only 6) before the snap.

The toss dive is the dumbest play ever. The play only works when their defense is gassed and beaten up. The linemen look like they are running into each other.

I was talking about the "Warecat," but I am loathe to use that stupid word.

Is it offensive scheme?

I think this is a major part. The overall offense scheme is too simplistic that can be countered easily by a defense stacking 8 or 9 or 10 in the box. We don't pass enough to keep the defense honest, and when we do pass it's a 5 -7 yard slant or out route.

It's not risky at all to stack the box against LSU. It's worth giving up the few passes over 10 yards since LSU rarely attempts passes over 10 yards.

Offensive coaches must find a way to make the defense pay for stacking the box. Quick slant or out routes don't do it. We need a deep threat to keep defenses from stacking the box.

We had a by committee approach when it's obvious we put a handicap on probably the best running back in the nation. Hill was by far the best running back on the team.

The simple fact that the idiot lines up with two TE and a fullback on every short yardage play and can't figure out why the dive or toss off tackle gets stuffed is the point here. It's either his ego or his brain damage that's holding this team back. I got no problem running the ball all game if they would do it out of multiple formations with all his personel groupings.
