Well,that may not be alot for LSU, but that's one of the bigger bowl game Tech can even get in.

The team you beat was no better than either ULM or ULL. Your connections with the independance bowl in Shreve got you a cupcake to play and you ask what have we done lately. We beat an Ala. team that was far better than yours.Come off your high horse and play a game that will bring you some $instead of traveling west on our tax $.

I grew up in North Louisiana and always told my friends in South Louisiana that Tech fans were delusional and bitter about LSU's status in the state and nation. Most friends down here knew nothing about Tech and would say only Ulala was that delusional. Then we actually agreed to play them for some unknown reason and they saw first hand the bitterness. When I decided to go to LSU, I had some teachers at my HS who were techies who tried to tell me that Tech had a better reputation "outside Louisiana" than LSU. Umm...ok. Maybe in the WNBA circles at that time. It seems that they and ULaLa are the only fan bases in the state that have the p envy, never encounter it with the other state schools. Also...someone ALWAYS says that Tech's engineering program is better than LSU. I always ask for documentation and no one seems to be able to provide any.When you check the rankings of programs by various agencies I see LSU mentioned in some engineering areas, but I've never seen Tech. Can anyone provide anything to back up this claim that their engineering program is "better" than LSU?

WOW and the Independence Bowl took a LOT of grief about the quality of the selections last year! It did a lot of damage to an already wounded minor bowl and it may not recover.The tv viewing audience was what you might expect, an dwas awful...

That's why we don't play ULM! Due to us playing in the WAC, it's better to schedule our non conference games against power teams to give us a better chance at the BCS if we ever were to have a magical year like the Rattay-Edwards era. The Sun Belt wouldn't know anything about that. The WAC is well represented nationally and at Tech we strive to be better, not get satisfied with a crap conference like the Sun Belt.

Apparenlty some LSU fans don't remember 1989 though 1994. You would've thought we were playing for the National Championship when we made it to the I-Bowl in '95.

I'm from up there and have many, many friends that went/go to Tech, the majority of which like LSU and pull for them unless they are playing Tech. I think this question is only relevant when substituting ULL for La Tech.
