All the talk is TN offense being great and LSU offense being terrible. But Vegas doesn't set lines based on talk, feel and emotions. They are analytically driven.
A quick look at the defenses that TN has played shows 4 teams ranked 70, 77, 112, 122 in scoring defense. Hooker has looked fantastic but has not been tested yet. How good are they? We will see Saturday.
On the flip side, the Rant and everywhere you turn talks about how terrible our offense is. This ignores the fact that we have played the # 41,44,45, and 46th ranked scoring defenses this year and I excluded Southern for obvious reasons. Our O is better than the Rant believes as we have been tested by 4 defenses better than anyone that TN has played all season.
Slow Hooker down, no big plays/broken coverages, and control the ball on offense with decent passing, and this game will be close. Thus the line...

I wouldn’t have thought about it until I saw that something like 25% of the bettors on the game had put up 70% of the money on Tennessee.
