The titans. I don't watch them but I know he made the roster out of camp and had a tackle last week, I guess on special teams.

he will be drafted in the top 5 rounds.....and will probably stick in the NFL for 10 yrs.
Quality guy.....once he gets somewhere, he's committed.

It seemed like every spring he was in line to take over as a starter and then the new class would show up and have that one guy who would pass him up. A bit unlucky for him that he's been at the same position as Peterson, Claiborne, Simon, and Mathieu.

He's our third best corner right now and the other two (Claiborne and Simon) are both going to be top of the first rounders when they leave. No shame in being behind those guys on the depth chart.

I have felt like he is a better player then tyran, especially as of late. Obviously the coaches think different and i don't really know enough to have an opinion

Top 5 rounds is a stretch IMO. He is good enough to go that soon, but is limited pretty hard by the lack of playing time he has had. There just isn't enough film on him to warrant a high pick.

He's still probably a top 5 senior CB talent, and his time in the league will justify that.

His film will hold him back, or lack thereof.

and even more unlucky that Simon and Claiborne came to LSU as WRs and switched to corner

Do you realize how hard that is to do, especially for a DB? I agree that he is an underrated talent and has a shot at making a roster, but they have starting corners in the NFL that are only in the league for 3-4 years. I'd love to see him be able to do that, but its a bit of a stretch IMO. The average time a player spends in the NFL is below 2 years.

Besides, when he is in nickle, he can have the same effect. Also, opponents are very mindful of tyran. He has not been having the same effect on turnovers as of late

That's why I LOVED seeing TM7 and Brooks both coming off the edge against WKU. Definitely adds another dimension to our blitz package that teams will have to deal with.

I think he gets looked at, at the very least! I would say he's late 5th to 6th round material.

he is definitely going to be signed as a free agent if not drafted. He has 4.3 speed which is good enough.

In some ways he is. Each player has individual strengths and weaknesses. Tyrann offers the play-making ability that most players don't have, while Brooks is probably more consistent, but he is 3 years older

in 08, both PP and Taylor passed Brooks and Phelon for the #2 CB slots coming out of fall camp. most expected PP to do that, but not Taylor.

in 09, he moved to safety and you heard how Chavis was gonna use him like Eric Berry. only to see BT also make the move, get the starting job and Brooks not really see much PT.

I'm happy with what he's done as the dime back the last couple yrs, but kinda skeptical about his man coverage skillz. still, as ppl have said, he'll at least make a team as a special teamer with his physical abilities and tackling.

if he could ever get up to 195 or so, I think he'd be a real solid safety like Ryan Clark.

If he doesnt get drafted, he makes a roster eventually. He has speed, will come up and tackle and is very good on special teams. Teams are always looking for that guy.

if nothing else he would make a good special teams player at first and eventually work his way into a Defensive backfield with some team.
