My understanding is that Aranda has a three-year contract at LSU at $1.875 million, then $2 million, then $2.1 million.
I think LSU will be willing to make sure that he wont leave LSU for another DC job due to $$$. That really is all LSU can do.

Well I certainly didn't make it up off the top of my head, I'm creative but not that creative. I heard him saying that plus more on a podcast I think at 104.5. He also said in the same interview that when he grows up he wants to be just like coach Ensminger. He's going nowhere and doesn't want to be a head coach. Indeed, check out his Twitter account, he has about 2 million followers. Yet he has made about two posts.
Maybe if you would get your head out of your arse you wouldn't be so damn stupid.

Damn, you loons must live in a hermetically sealed cocoon or something. There's a podcast I believe at 104.5 if I remember right where he said those things and more in an interview. Am I going to go look it up for a lazy prick like you, no fricking way. I couldn't give a shite what an ignoramus like you thinks and believes. Believe what the hell you want to believe, but Aranda isn't interested in being a head coach.

Eventually no amount of Money will keep Aranda here. He will some day pull a Saban and bolt for a bigger challenge.

Whatever it takes.
I don't care if we have to get him his own Tiger.
whatever it takes

He is already one of the highest paid coordinators in CFB, that's why we were able to get O so cheap so he could have the coaches he wanted. Plus Aranda is on a 3 year contract now.

The brain trust in place at LSU could not get it done, even if Aranda himself, sat down and wrote out detailed instructions on what it would take to keep him. Aleva is a true goofball, parading as an AD/ Vice Chancelor.

Arranda isn't leaving for another college dc job imo. And it will take a hell of an offer for us not to match anything else

Funny how important our coordinators have become to LSU football. I wonder if Alabama, Florida State, Michigan, OSU or most other fan bases are as concerned over their coordinators?

I think oregeron should retire in 3/4 years and hand it off to Aranda just my two cents. It's what I would have done if I was alleva.

With the Orgeron hire LSU decided that they will have the strategy of potentially having the highest paid offensive and defensive coordinators every season. They will not lose coordinators unless to big head coach jobs. If Aranda leaves for a big head coaching job, I would expect LSU to go down the list of top defensive coordinators and offer top money in the country until someone says yes.
LSU could give Aranda $3 million and they would probably still be even with the top programs in the SEC in regards to combined head coach and top coordinator salary. A&M paid Sumlin and Chavis a combined $6.6 million last season. Alabama paid Saban and Kiffin approximately $8.4 million last season.

Does anyone really know what his H.C. aspirations are, or are we assuming he naturally wants to be the head guy somewhere?
Coach O thinks he wants to be a HC, he mentioned it on his show a couple weeks ago. The only people that think he wants to spend his career as a DC at LSU are delusional homers.

Success, money, atmosphere, and a solid relationship with Coach O will go a long way to keep Aranda, and the next Aranda here as long the winds of change doesn't start blowing. Defensive clout, and talent interest from the country's top prospects is unmatched. Coach O is in the REAL know of the best defensive minds in football. Even Aranda can be replaced.

I've written it in a few other threads that Texas will make a run at him. He and Herman are friends and they have the money. LSU can't compete with Texas as a far as money.

I thought Nick was getting 8 million by himself?
Didn't Nick just get a contract extension that raised the salary to 11 million?
Hard for LSU to compete with those kind of bucks being thrown around.

Does anyone have a link to Aranda not wanting to be a HC besides posters here saying it over and over?
