You are correct, my bad. Although I think he would have eventually headed to Columbus just like Spurrier would have eventually headed to Gainesville if LSU had hired him over Archer.

Another one I would like to add would be the untimely death of Brent Rhodes, who was the Tiger Mascot. His death was right out of Final Destination.
Brent's death was such a shock. He was a good dude.

Ed Orgeron getting drunk on his own ego not realizing he had to nail every coordinator hire to keep the train rolling.
Still bums me out.

A student was on the mounds when a drunk driver plowed into her and killed her.
What made this story crazy was that the victim and the car's driver went to elementary school together, but one of them moved away and had lost touch with one another.

Another honorable mention: the downfall of Ryan Perriloux.
There’s no telling how many titles Miles would have if RP had played his full career at LSU and Lee had proper time to develop.

Bob Rein's death.
No question.
No question.

Bo Rein was my first thought, along with several others mentioned.
I guess, also, Pete Maravich dying so young from a congenital heart problem that should have kept him from ever playing.
