If it means something to the players, then what does it matter to you?

Goes to the most electric playmaker on the team. Nothing to see there.

I don't understand it either. I know the history but I still don't understand it's merit.

If I'm young man and I establish myself as a star with a number that I started with, possibly even requested, then he should be identified by HIS unique number.

I am more ambivalent about 18 because it identifies someone who is a leader and has certain qualities. Still, it's still not MY number. I think it should be a patch.

It stood for the goat, alpha, better than anyone on the field player. PP, honey badger, fournette. Delpit I believe earned it

7 is to defense what 18 is to offense. And besides, Cristiano Ronaldo.

18 is the leadership, toughness and discipline
7 is the swag, the playmaking, the electricity

Bert Jones

Doesn't count. He was 57 when PP became The Man.

It started with Mathieu paying homage to Peterson.

Some people put the concept of the TEAM above their own personal glory.

Correct me if I am wrong (I'm in the right place for that).. Although 7 was historic before TM&7, he and Leonard in part, wore it because they are from 7th ward of NO. After them it went to player with swag.. right?
