DJ Welter won't be our starting MLB

Welter's been gone a couple years but hot damn, you zinged him anyway. Boy you're cool.

By the way, next to nobody played worth a shite in that game defensively. Or offensively for that matter.

Besides the 17 different starters for LSU
And the 19 different starters for Auburn?

Our QB is better.
LF is not a freshman.
Defense Is much stronger.

Their QB situation is worse than ours. Their offense is worse than ours (with Harris).

They're not ranked in the top 10 (and already have 2 losses) so their crowd won't be as amped up, especially if we get out on top first.

I suspect they'll play us pretty close.. Revenge game.. desperation.. etc. But hopefully the good guys will be victorious.

The other team hasn't won much at home lately. They don't have a sr qb that was comfortable running the offense.

What? Welter started that game at Auburn. First time Les called out the defense. After that game, we saw a lot more beckwith and Adams. D was much improved. Miles def stepped in on that.

The biggest difference is we don't have the 2014 defense. That defense allowed 570 yards to State, with some spectacular missed assignments in the middle of the defense, allowing Josh Robinson to run for days. Yes, they allowed 268 passing yards in that game, but they also allowed over 300 yards rushing. This year's defense has allowed 310 yards rushing in three games combined.

Then, we can get into Harris v Etling, Fournette as a junior instead of a freshman, and whatnot. But the biggest difference is that our run defense isn't a sieve.

Upperclassmen at WR
Upperclassmen at QB
Upperclassmen on the DL
Fournette experience
3-4 defensive scheme
Coach O not Brick
Freshmen talent coming off the bench instead of starting
Head Coach on the hotseat needing to prove we can field an offense

Pretty much completely different than 2014 except that we are not 100% locked into a QB. Unlike everybody else, I think Les/Cam will sub in Harris if Etling throws multiple picks or struggles for more than 2 consecutive quarters.

wtf are you talking about. Welter started that game and was terrible in that game. Thats not a zing, thats just fact. Beckwith should be much better because he is a much better player.

Are you trying to imply that Welter was the only one that was terrible in that game?

Yes, I'm aware that Welter started that game. Let me correct my "mistake". Welter has been gone one year (this year being the second year he's been gone) and even though Beckwith IS a better MLB, he didn't play much better that game. Nobody played well that game.

Feel better now?

I'm aware of all of this. That doesn't change the fact that Beckwith also struggled in that Auburn game. Hell the entire team struggled in that game.

It wasn't just Welter that had problems.
