No one since Little League has fallen for the 53 move and Watson gets picked off by it. And it was the 2nd time the Aggie used it even. Geez!

i've only seen the 53 fake work twice in the 49 years i've been alive. both times it was the tigers who fell for it.

I said this in another thread, but something is missing with this team right now. They are simply not advancing runners whether it's by hits, steals, sacs or a hit and run. Then factor in that they are getting out on the base path and the problem is just compounded.

Well, the coach has had plenty of success in the past, so I'm gonna go with something other than that. Hopefully when Broussard and Smith get back we will see them get more aggressive on the base paths besides going home on first contact from 3rd.

The thing they need right now is to keep plugging away, figure some way to bust this slump, and the confidence will come back fairly quickly.
