but would they have been? Based on OP, Auburn remains a 2 loss team, and LSU would be a 1 loss team with a win over them. Seems to me Auburn would have been behind us at that point, and we would have likely moved past Bama with the Iron Bowl result. Clemson loss would have done in Auburn in this scenario.

True, I was just thinking of everyone as one loss. Honestly, I see Alabama going in this scenario as they would have beaten us and our win over Auburn wouldn't have as much weight as Bama's win over us.

You mean what if we were a better team who was capable of having more than 1 quality win?

The Troy loss has absolutely zero bearing on the SEC championships.

And even if we had beat State, Auburn would probably still go to Atlanta because after beating Bama they’d be the highest ranked team.

True but what if Florida don't miss that extra point and we end up losing that one in O.T.? How you think the season plays out after that. You could play what if all day.

Bama, Aubie, and us would have 1 sec loss.

Assuming Auburn still loses to Clemson, and we still lose to bama...bama would go?

Auburn losing to Clemson and us losing to Troy has absolutely nothing to do with who wins the SEC

Some people are saying the tiebreaker is ranking. If that's the case, it does.

If LSU JUST had the 1 loss to Bama, and Auburn had both the loss to us and to Clemson, then I assume we'd have the highest ranking. Would have been ahead of Auburn, behind Bama, and Bama losing this late we most likely pass them.

If it were all 1 loss teams, I say Auburn wins, as they won the last matchup. Auburn would likely have been very close to us, and would have jumped us when they beat Bama last game of the season.

Auburn would win the tiebreaker due to their sec east opponents record

Ohhhh ok thats how that works? Then we'll never need to worry about Bama winning a 3 way tie breaker. Their permaEast opponent just went 0-8

IT IS NOT RANKING!!! It hasn't been since 2014. shite guys. This is talked about every year. Google the shite.

2. Three-Team Tie (or more): If three teams (or more) are tied for a division title, the following procedure will be used in the following order: (Note: If one of the procedures results in one team being eliminated and two remaining, the two-team tiebreaker procedure as stated in No. 1 above will be used):
A. Combined head to head record among the tied teams;
B. Record of the tied teams within the division;
C. Head to head competition against the team within the division with the best overall Conference record (divisional and non divisional) and proceeding through the division (multiple ties within the division will be broken from first to last and a tie for first place will be broken before a tie for fourth place);
D. Overall Conference record against non divisional teams;
E. Combined record against all common non divisional teams;
F. Record against the common non divisional team with the best overall Conference record (divisional and non divisional) and proceeding through other common non divisional teams based on their order of finish within their division; and
G. Best cumulative Conference winning percentage of non-divisional opponents (Note: If two teams' non-divisional opponents have the same cumulative record, then the two-team tiebreaker procedures apply. If four teams are tied, and three teams' non-divisional opponents have the same cumulative record, the three-team tiebreaker procedures will be used beginning with 2.A.);
