My ideal scenario is we finish 10-2 and DON'T make the SECCG. Let UGA kick the shite out of Ole Miss and give us a home playoff game.
frick that I’d rather see UK run the table and play UGA in the SECCG…I want Ole Miss to never have experienced a trip to the SECCG to go along with them having zero natties…

Last Week of Regular Season: Nov 28
SEC Championship: Dec 5
CFP First Round: Dec 18-19
CFP Quarterfinals: Dec 31-Jan 1
There are 3 weeks between the end of the regular season and the first round of playoffs.
There's a little less than 4 weeks between the SEC CG and the second round of playoffs.
Just for bye purposes, the advantage of winning the SECCG is an extra week of rest between games. However, that only applies if after winning the SECCG the team is ranked in the top-4 by the committee. The typical "worst case scenario" is having to play in both the SECCG and the first round of playoffs.
With LSU already having two losses, the likelihood of being in the top-4 is relatively low (though not impossible) depending on the result of many games going forward. In that case, the reward is remote and the cost could be high.
But, those who want to have Sankey give the trophy to Kiffin do have a worthy wish, and I would love to see it.
Hope that helps everyone.

Getting the trophy for the last ever SEC championship game would be pretty awesome.

Surprised you’re getting upvoted. Seems everyone here likes to say the SEC championship is worthless.
That has nothing to do with the stated reason for wanting to win it, though
