Net of taxes, agents and expenditures, seems highly unlikely he could have more than $15M left.

Gave the IRS about HALF to start and 10% to his agent and a couple a more million to lawyers. Bling and stuff, so about $10 Million left is my guess.

Former player told me he would drop $300k in one weekend pretty regularly. As another poster said, between taxes, agents, and lawyers the most he could have is $15 million.
With how he lived while he was in the NFL, I don't see how he could possibly have more than $5 million left. A large number of professional athletes end up bankrupt and he was on the fast track.

please tell me how you spend 300k in one weekend unless you're buying an expensive Italian sports car.

Former player told me he has a farm full of unicorns and pink elephants. He also spent a few million to successfully capture the Mobile leprechaun.

Holy shite, really?
I'm just showing that other players who we praise on here also do stupid things with their money, and it's not very fair to call someone out unless you have all the facts.
Jamarcus may have invested in Google at $200/share - no one here knows. Until his bankruptcy hearing it's not cool to proclaim that a guy is destitute because he flies on Southwest. So does Kevin Smith, and I'm sure he's got way more than $40M.

How much does he have left over?
Maybe he can buy us a QB now that there's a bunch of loopholes.

I don't think he's quite gone the way of MC Hammer, but I'm sure there are or were quite a few hangers-on who had their hand out. His uncle Ray-Ray was a father figure and I think his death sent JM into a tailspin. And, of course, Oakland was probably the worst place for him. I sincerely hope he can find a mentor and get another shot.

Well said. Maybe he was trying to make money in the process. He may have been hoping to get bumped from the flight. Apparently, they give you $300 if you get bumped. It’s this crazy loophole in the system that the wrong guy discovered. Guess where I won’t be going?...

Is this assuming he hasn't invested ANY of it?

You KNOW that he was on the fast track?
So many finance wizards on the Rant these days.

Yes, but I was being very generous with the "expenditures" category.
