Did the early suspension steal his mojo? He has not looked like the same player this year. Definite sophomore slump.

If he can get his level of play back up to what it was, it would be a HUGE help to the defense. Thankful for Ronald Martin coming over to knock that Florida receiver out at the 4 on that long pass that Robinson gave up. His hustle ended up saving the game for LSU because the defense only gave up a FG after the dropped TD pass. Anything can happen and you should never give up on a play.

But, Robinson got burned. It has happened a lot. What is going on with him? He looks very different from the athletic confidence that he displayed last year.

Hey Rashard, if you read this, I hope you play angry on Saturday. LSU needs you to be that DB that you were against A&M last year.

He's been beat deep for TDs twice, one of which he was in perfect coverage and just whiffed on the break up. He's fine.

Lot of players have a down year mixed in. He has the talent, as he gets more experience, he will break out of his slump.

Martin would have never made that play had Robinson not recovered and held him up at the 3.

Well now that you have inspired him.........

Look, CB's live on an island. When CB's lock down their guy, you dont hear their name but when they make a mistake, its magnified to the extreme. He's had some good tight coverage and got beat a few times. He's still solid. Did he give up any catches saturday? I dont think so. Did you acknowledge that? Or just that he got beat once two weeks ago? Settle down and look at the big picture. PP7 got beat here and there while at LSU......all CB's do. So settle down a bit and look at the big picture

Stop telling me how to watch football. I used that one play as an example. I understand what CBs do. I am saying that he has not looked as aggressive as he did last year. Maybe he is trying to do more? Maybe he is trying to play within the system? Maybe he is responding to coaching and some of his natural instinct is being reigned in so that he can play better with the rest of the secondary and he is making some mistakes out that? Maybe more is being asked of him and he is thinking too much?

All of those possibilities are actual answers. You tutoring me on what CBs do is not an answer. I am saying that he looks different as a player this year and I am wondering what is going on. Tre'Davious White gives up more receptions and big plays than anyone in the secondary but I get it - the QB/WR make plays on their own. It happens. Re: RR, I am saying that he looks like a different player and I am wondering what is going on.

Really? Dude is our best corner IMO. PP7 still gets beat every now and then and not one person doubts his elite status.

So because he got burnt once and a receiver made an awesome catch on him, he's crap now? I might have spoken to soon when I said best because white has the better stats but I do think those two are what and what in comparison. RR just has the size to match up with the bigger receivers.

I am not saying that he is crap.

I am saying that he does not seem to be playing with the same level of confidence this year as last.

I was not even thinking about the Auburn game. He made a great play and he just barely missed the ball. The receiver made a great catch. He was in perfect position and played it perfectly. I did not fault him there at all. It happens. Football is a game of inches. Auburn was fortunate there and, unfortunately for LSU, that play really swung the momentum their way. But, it happens.

Last year, he was a force on the field and made his presence known. He seems to be playing more tentative this year. There could be many factors involved. I hope that he gets the old aggression back.

I am not saying that he is crap. I am just saying that it seems like a drop off. Could be lots of reasons why.

OP, you and I must be watching completely different games. Robinson has been great IMO.

I think he got hyped up a little too much based on one performance against A&M.

Plus, you can't underestimate the setback missing two games can create, especially when the number of reps is so limited in college. It happened to him last year, too, for a different reason.

If you are referring to the Sammie Coates TD, I think he should have had inside leverage. Idk, I could be wrong.
