What happens next year when players/coaches are still testing positive for Covid?

Serious question.

This virus isn’t going anywhere. If the entire football season, and assuming other sports follow, when will it be ok to play sports again?

Things probably won't go completely back to normal until there is a vaccine and it has been distributed to a majority of the population.

When people realize a positive test is a good thing, we can move forward with life.

People really shouldn’t care about the number of people that test positive. The numbers to look at are number of people hospitalized and died from Covid. If you get Covid and don’t need to go to the hospital or die then you just got sick you got over it and you may have formed immunity. People get sick all the time.

Beginning two weeks before football season no testing until February of 2021.

Too many Karens running things and ruining it for everyone.

Agreed. These are the numbers that turn a common sickness into a pandemic.

Who on earth would get a rushed vaccine without knowing the long term effects?

As someone who works in a hospital....do we have a flu vaccine that comes close to being fail proof for those that get the shot? “They” seem to guess wrong quite a bit on the strain of flu they’re expecting for that year. We had over 60K deaths from the flu this year....of course we don’t know how many of those had gotten the flu shot that year.

There will be a vaccine for the Coronavirus, but it will likely be as effective as the normal flu shot. You might get about half the folks get the vaccine annually, but you’ll still have a decent amount of those folks still contract the virus. This isn’t going to be like a measles(MMR) vaccine.

You are a sheep if you get the flu vaccine. 150+ known strains and they give you a shot for 1. You can play that game with your body, but I'm not.

You will have to hold me down to give me a rushed out vaccine.

It is ok to play now... the virus is no different from the flu... there is no vaccine for SARS or MERS also Covid viruses. Almost all of this(the shutdowns, masks, social distancing) was a political move by the democrats and the media. The same people who told us AIDS would rush through the population... the same people with pathetically bogus global warming models.

Don't mean to turn this thread political, but the answer is November 4th.
