Bourgeouis and Rittner both had Tommy John surgery.

And PM will give both a shot at returning in spite of rantards who think they know better.

Rittiner deserves that shot and is young, Bourgeious has done nothing to prove he deserves it

I have been out of the loop on this(mine is because I am lazy) , but I am just wondering was their alot of discussion about mainieri pushing these starters too much last season that would have led to three tommy john surgeries? I didnt know if coaches garner that kind of reputation as a result of these types of injuries or is that a fairly common number following a season where we only had a few serviceable arms.

Im not that familiar with Joey B. but at least with Rittiner, I am sure there is always a tightrope that has to be handled with freshman pithcers and the amount of innings that are thrown. But I am sure most of those issues develop on those travel teams and hs teams that are even more dependent on the top line starters to advance in tournament play.

Huh?

Bourgeois was second on the team in innings pitched last year with 60.2 and Rittener was third in innings pitched with 57.2. Only Austin Ross pitched more innings than them.

I'm not saying PM pushed them too hard or that they pitched too much, but it's just not accurate to say they weren't "used a ton."

You talk shite on an LSU player, get smart and its excused because you serve in the military?
As much respect as I have for our soldiers it doesnt give you a pass to be a douche.

Depends on your definition of a ton i guess. I dont recall anyone claiming that either were used too much, it wasn't even debateable. So to me, no, they weren't used a ton.

Having given your comment some thought, I decided to check it out. (I wanted to show other posters why I responded to you the way I did in my first post in this thread.)

1) You've averaged almost 5 posts/day since your TD.com join date last year.

2) You were stationed at Fort Knox, Kentucky most of the last year. (Not exactly a hot bed of hostile fire to worry about.)

3) You have posted on TD every month in the last year except for right after when you graduated last May when you didn't post in June or July.

4) You consistently criticized Les Miles and Jordan Jefferson during the football season.

5) You consistently criticized LSU baseball coaches and players last season, including Blake Dean, one of the best players ever at LSU.

6) In your OP in this thread you used it to take a shot at Joey Bourgeois, a kid who obviously played hurt last season.

I respect our military members immensely, but I think you're a scaled-down version of TigerDave, using your military service to garner sympathy in this thread.

Hey, CT! Nope, no TV.

But I'll be there!

Are you going to make it to BR this season? My offer to you for grandstand tickets has not expired yet.

I agree. When I'm overseas, GMorgan is my only lifeline to LSU baseball games.

Classic Russian.

But, I am wrong in my previous comment. shite I hate to admit this, but you have admitted you were wrong at least once that I know of...

Long time ago when you attributed a quote of me "hating" on the Baseball team when I was actually joking...you kinda sorta did a mea culpa, but that was good enough...
