What Exactly is the Deal With Kenny Hilliard

I know we've been commenting on this board lately about our running backs. But what I'm baffled by is what is wrong with Kenny Hilliard. When you look at him his freshman year to now, he doesn't even look like the same guy. It reminds me a lot of Justin Vincent. What would make a guy regress like that from their freshman season? What happened to the Hilliard from this video..............?

Our OL is worse at recognizing fronts and getting bodies on bodies this year.

He's had bad luck with injury since last year, and had put on a little bad weight. Rumor is that he has turf toe right now and it's taking a while for him to get back to 100%. I think we see a big game from him at some point and then a whole bunch of "holy frick why hasn't he been getting carries" threads following it.

Only time will tell if this is an injury or if he has truly fallen from the ranks of those who know how to run the ball in the SEC.

It seems like he shy's away from contact now more than he did in his freshman season. He doesn't run the ball like he did when he first arrived. It be a variety of things but it looks more mental than anything right now. Seems like it started last year when Hill had his breakout moments and started taking some carries away from him.

I think he looked fine last year until the two fumbles against Towson. It seems like every since then, he has quit fighting for tough yards and is only concerned with not fumbling.

I think Hilliard just runs where he is supposed to while hill and blue allow the play to develop

IMO Blue is the one who least allows the play to develop. He gets the ball and immediately takes off full speed straight ahead and while it's usually good for a few yards, he never breaks long runs because he is ahead of his blockers and never makes a cut once he passes the los

Seems like he only gets the ball in double tight formations and its always a dive plays right up the gut. I think he deserves more carries than Blue right now. I hope we can see Hilliard break out like he did his Freshmen year
