And Rivers and Bolden were but they didn't make the cut. What's your point?

Nick Marshall wasn't a "D1 QB" but shite he sure can throw somewhat decent.

Also I'm not from Laffy Obviously. I wouldn't talk highly of ANYONE from STM unless it was justified.

Rivers and Bolden were scholarship qbs man. How can you compare them? Nick Marshall is a beyond exceptional athlete that plays in the most qb friendly system in college. Deal with it TM will be the qb before him.

I have no issues with Bergeron never seeing the field. I just don't want to hear any of this crap about how he doesn't have "it" because I wouldn't be surprised if he ends up being an average FBS QB

I'm just saying, I played against Bergeron. Kid is legit, just may not have the bomb arm we're used to.

I would have to agree with this. He IS a legit D1 QB. Does not have Harris's tools (not many do), but he is as poised as they come in the pocket, VERY accurate with his throws, especially intermediate routes, timing, etc.

It says that LSU is like every other top program...they sign more QB's than they have roster spots for, so some quality passers have to find work elsewhere before their eligibility is up. Look atthe guy in Southeastern. He couldn't crack oregon's roster, but he is an NFL prospect.

Bruh, Bennett transferred to get immediate playing time, he almost beat out Mariotta for the Starting Oregon job. He could deffinitly have stuck on Oregons roster

Yes Yes Tiger we know. Fontenot should be on the roster as well right? Once again why couldnt Bergeron attain a scholly from these other schools? Especially since someone said in the thread about Bolden that he put up way better numbers then Mett in JUCO. Let me guess he a Tiger at heart.

Flip a coin. Doesn't really matter. I don't know of any program that could do much with a 3rd string qb.

if LSU ends up on Qb#3, it probably doesn't matter who that #3 is, the season is fricked and over. Very few schools have that sorta depth at QB

Solid post and it's the absolute truth

But as usual, solid logic mostly goes ignored on this board.

I think it says more about the mindset of players these days. There are no more Matt Flynns that compete and wait their turn. If they lose the competition they just leave! Good luck to them, but like someone else said, if we are starting our #3 QB the seasons that we expect is outta reach.

Pretty sure Stephen rivers made a premature decision.
Still not sold in Les Miles turing reins over to a true freshman should AJ not work out and rivers were still on squad.
