It's the home teams choice. Since LSU prefers white, we usually wear white at home. Since most other teams prefer their colors, we usually wear white on the road too. We do, however, wear purple for a couple of non-conference games every year.
There have been a few situations in the past when we were forced to wear our colored jersey when we didn't want to, which is what lead Jerry Dinardo to unveil the gold jerseys in the 90s. It was kind of his smart elic way of following the rule when coaches like Steve Spurier decided to wear white out of spite. The worst was the Independence Bowl in 1997 against Norte Dame when we rocked the gold jerseys with white helmets. That was pretty bad.

Quit fricking asking what color jersey LSU will wear. it'll be purple or it'll be white. the same choices it always is other than the few times they wore yellow. they wont be in yellow. itll be purple or white.
also, why the frick does it matter? do you think they will play better in a particular color? or do you want to coordinate with them and wear that same color jersey and be "that guy" at the watch party go to?

Yeah I'm with NCLSUWSPFAN. I'm all for a little change up every now and then but that Bengal uniform looks ugly.

I was at the Florida game in 98 and we got our arse whipped.
