In general, we wear white for all conference games and the home opener and purple for any other OOC games, but as someone else pointed out, if it's a big OOC matchup, we'll sometimes wear white even if it's not the home opener.
Interestingly, other teams (particularly Florida) have on occasion chosen to wear white at home specifically against us, forcing us to wear purple jerseys on the road.
Personally, I think we should just wear white all the time. I think it's a genius move and our white jerseys are great.

They'll wear red to cover up the blood spilt by War-Chickens!!!!!!!!!

I like the whites too. Purples are nice, but I think a lot of the purple appeal comes from the fact that we only wear them for 2 games a year.

I've heard this before but in 2011 we wore purple against Northwestern St. if I'm not mistaken.

We only had 6 home games that year instead of the usual 7 or 8. That's probably why we waived the "white for home opener" rule, so we could wear purple more than once.

Purple jerseys. Mayne it has to do with contrasting with the opponent's uniform that week.
