The frick I can't! The o-line stinks this year. I am definitely not satisfied with the way the OL has been playing this season.

weren't around for UAB huh?

this thread is a total joke, seriously. Dennis Erickson? Butch Davis?

IMO if/when Miles leaves will be when a certain group of people actually realize how well he has done here. If you think the majority of names in this thread could actually do what Miles is doing right now you just are acting a fool

I dont agree. The country has been shown what a premier job LSU is. Great recruiting, great facilities great location great university. LSU can hire the best, if they are seemingly available or not, if they want to.

I could list 50 more coaches that could go 3-5 in the SEC with LSU's team last season.

Hmmmmm...I wasn't exaclty enamored with his abilities after sitting in the freezing cold upper deck and watching a Francione coached Bama drag Saban's team around Tiger Stadium in 2002. There are some other games in his tenure here I thought he got it handed to him, coaching-wise also.

This is true. My point is that the Louisiana mentality is still entrenched in the minds of these fans. They truly believe Miles is the only person that could coach LSU.

It's like watching the Twilight Zone with purple and gold glasses on.

No, I'm not a fricking prognosticator, but 3-5 is below average and finding 50 below average coaches shouldn't be too hard.

I think it important to state that I think Mile is a great college coach and will be here unless he goes to Michigan but I also believe threads like this should be tolerated because he may actually go to Michigan.

nah just accept that he's doing a pretty solid job here and most see him keeping the program on a national prominence level

Like some insist on seeing only the negative with the program? what would that be called?

So,one year removed from a National Title going 3-5 in SEC play should have warranted his firing ?

The only way Miles or Crowton go anywhere is willingly.

You're insinuating that he's a average coach because the OL is rather weak this year. Yet, at the same time has improved each game forth.

What about last year's line? Was it not any good? You gotta give these kids time to grow up. Otherwise, all you're going to have is......

well, fingers pointing at the coach, obviously.

I don't see only the negative, in fact I've repeated numerous times Miles' job in no way should be in jeapordy.

It's just one sided simplistic views annoy me. Miles could be replaced with someone better. Or worse too. But to think he's the only possible person to handle the coaching job at LSU is beyond ignorant.

Again, I have said over and over and over that Miles should not be nor even considered to be fired.

Perhaps taking time to read instead of hitting reply would help.

No, there's a difference between having expectations and pipe dreams.
