Man, I don't know how you can be walking around campus while YOUR nitanny lions are playing michigan.I would never be anywhere during an LSU game but at the LSU game, or watching it on tv.

Thanks! If possible we would like to get into the stadium early to experience the pre-game buildup. But to save $150 or so its probably worth waiting.

Try to be in your seat for Pre-Game. It is pretty special...

There's a few on stub hub for $410-500 in the lower bowl between the 30's.

Kinda spendy, but it would be worth it!

4. Hold your fingers high in the air with the number of tickets you need after the band, and don't put them down.

5. There will be a large number of scalpers in the area, and they will swarm you. They will want stub hub prices, or maybe more. These people will usually look very different than your average LSU fan, I'll leave it at that.

6. The closer you are willing to wait, the cheaper you'll find them. You said you wanted to see pregame stuff (good idea btw) so hopefully you find them sooner rather than later.

Scalpers over-buy for big games. Talk to them all. Write down where their seats are. Tell them you'll bail them out after kick-off at face value (be prepared to pay 1.5 face).

Like 5 minutes after kick-off they'll be begging you to buy their tickets - otherwise they can just toss them in the garbage. Be polite and businesslike with them. AND FIRM ON YOUR PRICE. Remember, they may have paid over face for them. A lot of scalpers would rather toss them than sell them to someone pissed them off.

You can Always find tickets on top of Victory Hill after the Band plays Hold that Tiger. Georgia ‘03c I stumbled on 20 yard line seats in the West Lower for friends. That game is considered the high water mark for the toughest ticket to find. Always folks selling tickets because a kid getting sick, got called out, or hammered as frick

If you are there early, definitely walk around in the RV lots. Those people often have extra tickets, maybe not this game, but we have found them for people before.

I’m willing to sell to any faithful LSU fans but I’m not going to walk around campus with my wife/6 year old meeting someone when cell service will be shitty. So I’m going to sell to some random LSU people that I run into from tailgate to stadium or sell them at tailgate.

I read this whole thread. Welcome to you and have a great time. Please also try the Ticket Exchange board on this site. I would gladly pay an extra bit to have tickets in hand and have piece of mind knowing I’m getting in to the stadium to catch the full experience than have to scramble around like a Wall Street broker desperately trying to seal a deal before the bell tolls. If you’re coming all this way, then just buy the damned tickets beforehand and enjoy the full experience.

Here's all the info you need to know.

1. You have some brass balls for making this trip without tickets, but it should certainly end up saving you at least $150 per ticket. If all else fails you can buy off stubhub right before right?

2. Arrive on campus really early Saturday morning. 8-9 at the latest. Walk around visiting tailgates. Tell people your story and be a cool group. You may get very lucky and someone will hook you up at one of the tailgates.

3. If, after moving around all day, you still don't have tickets, go watch the players and band come down the hill. At that point it's time to get to work. (look at game day times of interest posted here to find those times).

Laugh in their faces and move on.

6. The closer you are willing to wait, the cheaper you'll find them. You said you wanted to see pregame stuff (good idea btw) so hopefully you find them sooner rather than later.

All this.

And FWIW, if you're not coming back for a while, it is worth extra cash to see the atmosphere before the game.
