no its not. brady led this same team, plus tasmin mitchell and minus a lottery pick, to an absolutely terrible season the year before.

So NOW you are bashing Dale Brown??????? : casty:
No. I am in awe of what Dale Brown accomplished in his tenure. What an incredible climb to the top. Unfortunately, the day Randy Livingson blew out his knee was the day the music died for LSU basketball. It has been a long and uneven climb out an dhopefully Trent will equal and surpass Brown and Brady. Again, it is not a zero sum.

So now you are blaming it on Livingston???? DAMN!!!!!!

The main difference between this year and last is LSU's 10-1 record in single digit games under Trent Johnson. The tigers were 14-21 in the last two years in single digit games.
I also notice how disciplined this team is. LSU has had waaaay better teams in the past, but none that have been as consistent and well coached.

Trent can be successful on his own without it being at the expense of Brady.
he is successful on his own. and when you try to credit his success to brady, people will accurately point out his success is at the expense of brady.

Exactly. Brady had every chance to be the coach of this team this year.

Tiger20 well said...but I disagree on the part that Brady's success was more part of Collis Temple bringing in the recruits IMHO...you have your view, I'll have mine...
Agree...
Also...stickied?

The guy can coach [TRENT]. The one before??? Not so much!!! SORRY ITS TRUE!! If Brady was coaching THIS team and they got down by 10 in the 2nd half on the road, THEY WOULD HAVE LOST!!!

Tiger20 will NEVER get it!!! Brady was a failure at LSU, BUT he did give somewhat of a foundation to Trent!!! Trent will be more consistant. BOTTOM LINE!!!!!

The only credit Brady gets for Trent's success is that he recruited all but one of his players. That doesn't make it at the expense of Brady. I believe my post was clear that I appreciated everyone who has had a part in the success and also pleaded tht every one support the program, it's coaches and players in the future.

Give it a rest, latiger.
nothing i said in this thread was directed towards you. so unless you want to get in another "argument" about who lives on this board more, whats the point of this?
Posted on 3/1/09 at 4:16 pm to latiger09
tiger20 will never change his/her opinion about Brady and neither will you. I've noticed that you're just one big argument after another with anyone that disagrees with you. Give it a rest.

and every player that is a major contributor to this team except chris johnson, who is probably the worst major contributor came from within 30 miles of lsu's campus.
and brady did his absolute best to completely ruined those players lats year, while trent johnson has transformed those players into a top 20 team this year.

I know of nine other SEC programs who wish their coach/coaches had been such failures this decade.

and just like the last time you posted towards me, youre trying to involve yourself in an argument that did not concern you at all. give it a rest.

But you don't deny it. Nice.
Peace out!
