And the reaction after uga scored on the 93 yard screen has not been duplicated since.

I've never been a prouder tigerfan than that moment.

So the "defensive genius" & his poor defensive call, giving up the longest TD against LSU in TS was your proudest moment?

SkippyM,

You've obviously never been to a football game in Tiger Stadium.

"I've never had that many people yell that loud, that long, and at me!" - Charles White, former USC running back, after their comeback victory over LSU on 9/29/1979.

You made my point. Crowd will be a factor for a little while, but WVU will adapt and get accustomed to it. As in your example, USC had a "comeback victory"... obviously had no problem once they got used to the noise.

I blame the bandwagon fans who jumped onboard after '03.

Yes I was there & I wasn't proud. You like giving up long TDs to opponents - fine. Many LSU fans don't share your "pride & joy" over another team's accomplishments.

IMO, the only way that Death Valley stays loud throughout the game is if the score stays within a touchdown one way or the other until 0:00

8PM kickoff equals jet engine noise 1st half... second half = meh

Nuff said. And Husky Stadium gets a boost for stadium architecture.

(Not that TS doesn't have that so some degree)

Tiger Stadium has lost much of it's intimidation factor in recent years. It's nothing like it used to be. I blame the subpar quality of football of the last couple years. The team just has not been very much fun to watch.

Student Section is no good anymore. Hasn't been in years. 05-06 were probably the last of the good years I'd say.

"Quiet their fans?" Good luck with that one, Dude.

If WVU gets up 14-0 and our offense is sputtering, see how quiet it gets....the only noise you will hear is the crowd booing the home team.

All you old bastards saying the students these days are no good are making me pissed. I'm gonna be drunk as frick all day and screaming at anything in blue and on my feet in the stadium the entire time. Just don't come up and tell me I'm being disrespectful or unsportsmanlike, like every other old person at the games these days.

If you were there and can't recognize that the "pride & joy" was not associated with giving up the TD, but rather the fans reaction afterward, you're a complete idiot. And I seriously doubt you were there or you wouldn't even be saying a word.

Please do because there is no doubt the student section has been down.. The overall crowd feeds off the students noise and intensity and last week was pitiful especially considering it was the first home game and a sec opponent.
