It all started with the completion of the east side upper deck, it was the missing link for success .

I see what you did there.....

I did bet $20 on Jayden to win the Heisman on Aug 5. +1000 odds, won $220. Also, put $100 on LSU Baseball to win it all before last season and won $600 WINNING But we are not going to talk about the money I lost betting that LSU and Saints will win it all this year.......

You forgot this year, 23-24. This seasons natty will be played in 2024.
19-20: Natty and Joe Heisman
20-21: Nothing
21-22: Nothing
22-23: Jayden arrives
23-24: JD5 Heisman

Years not seasons. What is so difficult to understand about that
4 years
4 years

I think the biggest reason for disagreement is the way people are referencing when the Heismans were won.
JB's Heisman was won 4 years ago but within the last 5 years because people are referring to 2019 as an entire calendar year/a 12-month period from Jan-Dec (as well as 2020, 2021, 2022, and 2023), not a specific point in time to another point in time.

Archie Griffin won in 1974 & 1975. 1974 + 1 = 1975.
Did he win 2 in 1 year?

He won his 2nd Heisman 1 year later.
He won 2 in 2 seasons.
But he won two Heismans in how many years? One or two?

Especially coming after the Les Miles era, it's a culture shock of the good kind.

The 4 years gotcha is so dumb
A “year” in college football is functionally a season like a school year is functionally August through May. Nobody says Georgia was the champions this year, even though they won the title in 2023. Everyone says they won last year. Also, you win the Heisman through a full season of elite play. The year people act like the Heismans were won in a vacuum in December. 2019 to 2023 is five season period, bookended by the JB and JD seasons, which lasted from August to December. Since a college football “year” is functionally a season and it takes a full season to win a Heisman Trophy, I believe it is perfectly acceptable to say that LSU has won 2 Heismans in a 5 year period.

Depends on when the ceremony was.
If he won it on 12/14/74 & then again on 12/13/75, then yes.

Dude, nobody's getting that specific
So if the Heisman ceremony would have been this upcoming weekend on 12/16/23, it would be two Heismans in the past five years?

I mean I wouldn’t consider 4 years & 1 day as 5 years either.
No, it would be 2 Heisman winners in 4 years & 2 days… so I’d still say 4 years

Okay, with that logic you said

If he won it on 12/14/74 & then again on 12/13/75, then yes.
If Archie Griffin had won them on 12/14/74 and again on 12/15/75, that would still be in one year?

Yes, I already said that he would’ve won 2 awards in the same year.
I thought y’all were taught this in elementary school

You never said that. You only said that he won his second one year later, not within the same year.

I think the confusion is bc it's 4 actual years, but 5 football seasons with 5 December Heisman Ceremonies.
Alright... 2 of you bastards downvoted LSUFreek?!? Have you no respect?
