We've all been waiting for this week for 10 months - BAMA week

These past 10 months have offered a true test for Tiger fans. A test of humility. A test of patience. A test of hope. Never, have I, nor any other LSU fan, been as humbled, embarrassed and downright shocked at the result that 1/9 yielded us.
True, there have been worse beatings on lesser teams of Tiger past, but after the dream season we accomplished in 2011, we pulled off arguably the worst performance in National Championship history.
Now, if that wasn't bad enough, it came at the hands of a team that was given an unprecedented rematch after falling victim to us in their home stadium earlier that fall. If that wasn't bad enough, the man roaming the sidelines on that team was the coach that brought us to a level we had never known, and jumped ship when the NFL came knocking at his door (hard to blame him for that), [only to find meager success at the professional level] and in turn, landed at a cross-division rival school.
True, I don't think I've ever been as angry, upset and downright flabbergasted at an LSU football game's result in my lifetime. The worst part about the game was the fact that we have had to endure countless "21-0" scoffs and jeers for the ensuing 10 months.
Now, in true LSU fashion, this offseason/season has not come without its issues; the TM7 saga, the academic casualties, and the inconceivable amount of injuries to key players. Yet, beyond all of this adversity, we stand in control of our own destiny, STILL. The character of this team has been tested and I must say, that I don't know too many other teams in the country that could have posted a 7-1 mark with our schedule given the almost constant misfortunes going our way. The way we rebounded from a less-than-desirable road performance against Florida, to defeat the number 3 team in the country in front of a raucous Tiger Stadium crowd spoke volumes about the team we are capable of being. Now, of course we are not perfect, far from it, but we all can stand behind our team this week of all weeks and make this game one for the ages.
I for one, am absolutely ecstatic about this next week. We finally get a chance to vindicate the ungodly blunder that was 1/9 and show the team from two states over why no win is a given in Death Valley. Gonna be a HELL OF A WEEK.
GEAUX TIGERS. BEAT BAMA.

Only because the other thread got anchored for my original title being in all caps.
Edited with a little extra dicta.

Agreed.
How do you think the players feel about it if we're so ready for it to get here?
They have to feel like they could eat nails.

I can't even begin to imagine. Just running out of the tunnel for that game would be the biggest emotional high I could fathom.

Some of my high school friends went to alabama, can't stand their constant jerking off. This game has been a long time coming, I can't wait to get some vengeance.

Like I said in your anchored thread...
There hasn't been a day go by since I walked out the Superdome the night of 1/9/12 that I haven't thought about what could have been, what happened in that locker room, what happened on the field, why no JL, etc.
It's obsessive and a problem but I don't care.
Nov. 3 will be a way to atone for that loss. I can't wait for kickoff. I'm already jacked up and won't be able to focus a lick all week. And guess what, I don't care.

never underestimate the power of "Death Valley" Tiger Stadium on a rockin' Saturday night.
as Miles said... "Tiger Stadium... where's opponent's dreams come to die"

Bama wins 27-7 after a tough first half. Roll Tide.

Man, I walked out of the tunnel during baseball season and I got the biggest thrill out of it.
The stadium was empty. Just me and my connections( not bragging, just explaining how I got there). I'll never forget it.
Stepped on the field and walked right up to the Tiger Eye. Didn't step on it! But I took a picture.
Felt the grass. It's unreal when you're down on the field. I can imagine how much of an adrenaline rush it is when the place is packed all cheering for YOU (the players).
No, I didn't eat any grass but I thought about it.

It's really soft.
